Please review this graphics and animation portal for design

It strikes me as too busy. There seem to be so many different colors on the page - from the blue in the heading to the magenta horizontal border, to the orange bar to the green headlines.

Combine that the with colorful & animated banners and it's a bit overwhelming.

I think your audience wants colorful (and animated), but I'd focus more on the images and less on the background and text to make the images stand out more. More neutral colors in the site will make the banners and the gallery more impressive. I'd also loose the G ads on the home page. They just add to the "busy-ness" of the page.

BTW, the gallery is full of nice work!

Yes, you are right, Design is quite busy but mostly portals have, because want to show every feature on the portal. Regarding colors, i am thinking of changing a orange color to more neutral, can you suggest be any color.

Regarding Google ads, its not a priority when getting ads from the other sponsers, but also cant leave that space blank.

But hope still site design dont look bad.

Overall, my comment is that you have a neat site. The only thing I like to point out will be the left side. The orange color does not go with the black color text. I find it quite straining to read the text. Maybe a lighter or brighter color will make it easier to read?

What you guys suggest if i replace the orange color with the light brown color that is behind the search button then looks fine...or suggest any other better color which go with the site design.

The color behind the search would work well on the left. I'd also replace the purple bar above the search and the light blue bar at the bottom with the same color.

Really liked the site. I found myself looking for something like an "About Us" link to explain what the purpose of the site was, but that was just me.

I thought there should be some sort of "Home" link in the horizontal menu bar at the top, although most know clicking on the logo usually does that.

I also noticed that even with my broadband connection, it takes a few seconds to draw the page, during which time the page is resizing wildly, and my eyes didn't focus on any consistent spot.

It might be a good idea to move the search box to a location that is easier to find.

I am no expert, just giving you my first impressions.

Yes, whole page takes a few seconds in drawing specially in firefox. But i cant do anything regarding that because site have lots of graphics and cant remove or reduce more the graphics size. I optimize maximum possible.

Regarding About Us, I dont agree because everyone knowd what's the purpose of these type of sites, but they dont know then still doesnt matter because everyone looking for information about the industry.

I agree about Home button but doesnt have space for that so i didnt add, and i think those people surf regularly must understand this basic logo link method because Home link takes a lot of valuable space in site like this.

Well i am only thinking of changing color on the left side and not anywhere else...

I think the site looks good and is a good resource for artists.
The only thing I noticed was that, once you go to the forum, the navigation doesn't get you back to the main site - ie the navigation is only for navigating within the forum. I also noticed that the forum is well frequented and has a higher PR than the "main" site - so a highly visible link to the main site would be well worthwhile IMHO.

Thanks that you like the site. Yes, PR of forum is 3 and main site have 1 when more users visit the main website. I dont know how this google PR really works...because some inside pages have no link exchange and have PR of 4.

Regarding mainwebsite when you click on the forum main logo then it takes you to the main website. But i am thinking of adding a much visible link in the navigation.
