Default top was nice to look at

I like the top half of the page but it got visually worse. Especially with the yellow highlighting on text. Maybe trim the page into 2 pages.

While the template is nice looking, the toothbrush in the corner seems almost out of place. Especially when you got the vision, prescription and chiropractic pages and the brush is still up there. I would suggest going with a logo that represents "Health Plans" instead just dental when you are offering MORE than dental.

You also seem to have a roll-over effect on the (hard to read, by the way) navigation. Unfortunately, the effects only work on the resources and contact us pages. You need to correct the coding so it works on all the plan offerings pages as well.

The text runs a little too close to the green side bar. Adjusting the padding in your table should correct this.

While a convenient option for home pages and portals, the date script does nothing for you but push your relevant body copy farther down in the code making it less important to bots that search your site.

Like I said, nice design. But could use some work.

Best of luck.

Default Thanks ejrsdotcom and ghstdrgns

Thanks for the constructive thoughts and insights. I'm pretty much open to an all-out blanket party on this site. I'm not proud. I'm just a humble newbie to site design.

BTW, ghstdrgns. I never thought about the logo when considering the other plan offerings (i.e. vision, chiro, Rx plans). Great point!

Any other thoughts, as detailed as you wish would be greatly appreciated. I've been all over the web gobbling up all sorts of SEO ideas. Just trying to make it all a little more cohesive.

Once again, thanks so much!

You need a mouse over effect for you menu.

I would get rid of the yellow high lighting on the text

I think the page is too long

You need a good logo that tells about your business

I like the idea of the site a little work it will really be a nice site.

Thanks for the insight janeth. Looks like it's time to get rid of the yellow highlight.

It was actually a recommendation on a web marketing site. I did not have it there before. But since I've received a couple of posts saying so, I'll dump it.

Another question for you and anyone else. SEO experts recommend as little java script as possible. Since the mouseover effect is javascript, should I just dump it in favor of "plain ole" html tags?

You can keep it. Just take the javascript and put it into a seperate .js file.

Like this:
<script language="JavaScript" rc="mouseovers.js">
</script>

Place the above link into your <head></head> tag.

Then put everything between the
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/JavaScript">
and </script> tags for your mouse-over effect, (preload images, whatever) and place them into a text file, like WordPad. Save the text file as mouseovers.js and place on your server.

That should do it. What this does is call the script for the mouse-overs without actually placing the script into your page code.

Hope this helps.

Thanks again for the insight ghstdrgns.

I've taken the date script off all other pages (as you suggested) and will work on the mouseover and cellpadding (previously advised) tomorrow. I also removed the yellow highlighting. Hopefully, it'll look a little less like a sleazy sales ad without it.

Okay folks....

I've made all the recommended changes except the mouseover effect. Redesigned the Resources menu totally (matches other sites closely).

Thanks for all the input.

Any other comments are welcome....

Thanks again!!!

site looks good, has a nice feel to it. However I"m having difficulty tying in the design to dental accessories. is it supposed to be a toothbrush?

I would also add some margins inside your main content. it is almost right up on the left nav.

Also maybe consider making the main menu buttons a little bigger or maybe use a different font. I had difficulty reading them.

I like the color theme, very smooth and relaxed. I"d like to feel like when I go to the dentist.

keep up the good work, looks like you got the design down, just need to work a little on your content organization and display.

Hi, At first glance your website looked good. It loaded fast, and the color scheme was nice. The text links on the left could be a little darker, and more visible. I think the graphics are not sufficiently informative, since not only a dental plan, but also other health services are provided. I was overwhelmed by the amount of text on the home page, but I understand it is very helpful to have a lot of content for search engine optimization.

You had two pages that had no link back to the home page and that should be fixed. No one likes to get stuck at a page. You have a good start. I definitely think your website has merit, and can be made even better.

Thanks for the additional insight najoba and staeveglas.

I'll get the left nav buttons changed to include larger fonts. I still have to work on the 1st page content (reduction) so as not to let visitors bore themselves.
