Default new chinese-english language interior design website

Hi all,

Here's our new website
http://www.ymid.com.tw/

We are Yang Ming Interior Design (YMID) - Interior Design Company operating in Taiwan and Shanghai.

Previous website only had Traditional Chinese version. Now, we have included English version to cater to an international market and will be inserting all our past portfolio for references.

Please let us have your comments on our new site

Thank you.

Default Interesting site.

Your site is attractive and tells what you do clearly -- once you get to the "Our Services" page. I was not sure, at first viewing your Overview page, though, what business you're in.

Some suggestions:
1 -- As I said, I'd try to say exactly what you do on the home page, preferably in a heading or the first sentence of your text
2 -- The pages are attractive but hard to read. Consider using dark text instead of white. White text is very hard on the eyes, and will be unreadable for people who have certain older browsers.
3 -- Your HTML is not W3C compatible. Some of the errors are minor, but one in particular (and I quote):
Line 78 column 24: document type does not allow element "TITLE" here.
seems to indicate that your page is not properly constructed, with the title in the <head> section of the page.

You can see all the W3C feedback here:W3C Validator.

4-- On your Design Concept page, you have a heading that is just part of a sentence. It looks like it was meant to be a link, or perhaps some text was left out, but it just says "Our past accomplishments include" without saying what they include.

5 -- If you are looking for clients outside of your home area, I suggest you state that explicitly. I didn't see anything on your site that says "we work outside of China."

6 -- Your portfolio and photo gallery are empty.

Hope this helps.

Default Unfinished

Like so many you are trying to get the site up before you finish. If you have no material for certain links, remove them until you have time to finish. Nothing more annoying then clicking on links that leads to nowhere.
