Hi Steve,
For a first site you have done very well. The deep red says valentines day to me and the colours that you have used work well together. A couple of comments: I found it very difficult to read the quote on the front page (Let those who love now...). The order and speed that the lines appear made it hard to read all at once. I got there in the end but I had to watch it go through a few times and read a line at a time. I think the header image could do with a little work. It loads in nice and fast at the moment which is good, but I think you could possibly make it a bit more eye catching - maybe combine the text and image to make a stronger header - it will make it a larger file but the benefits from a design point of view may outweigh the extra load time. If it was me I would go for less contrast between the deep red of the interface and the starck white background. It makes the edge of the site quite distracting and gives the impression of an empty space at the side - I would probably use the peachy colour that borders the main table as a background colour - but that would be up to you - maybe try a few different bg colours and see how they look. I dont want to be negative because like I said at the top, for a first site I think you have done an excellent job. Hope these comments help. Phil |

Hello Phil,
Thank you for your feed back, I have already started to work on color combination. Regarding your suggestion about the Heading Text and logo wont it effect my search engine presence as I have heard from a freind that they are text friendly. I hope you can shed some light on that, that was the reason I did not experimented much with image work. Regarding the Back ground I do agree now I feel it kind of catches my eye more then the content, but again I am just a kid in this new world. lol any more comments will be appreciated. I will notify you once I make any changes to colors. Regarding the Quote I kept it go fast for a reason for a person to take time to read just as normally people do in love give time to the other lol I dunno may be people will be annoyed or may be the'll get my point. Lets see how many people comment about it in case if it is real annoying then I guess we should change it lol . Thanks again a lottttttttt, I really appreciate your time and effort to help me learn to be a better webmaster. Please stay in touch as I think friends is all we got in this world. Regards, Steve :) |

Hi Steve,
Im glad you found the comments useful! Unfortunately I don't know about search engines and how changing the header will affect the way they index your site - its really not my field - but there is a whole load of experts within wpw - I am sure someone can give you sound advice. With regards to the poem, I think your probably right, and its nice to see someone designing animation like that with a rationale behind it - if people get it - great, but the beauty is if they dont get it they can skip right past it and straight on into the site. I have recently completed www.b52powerboat.com if you fancy a look - its my race team. All the best Phil |
