I am quite impressed, the layout and colors are professional, yet not hectic - almost - there is a lot of info to digest, but it is 'smooth' and the light colors ,esp. the green to yellow, give a 'settling' effect to me.
I am not knowledgeable at all in trading, but it has 'credibility'. That is, you have relevent links to the text (you'd be surprised) and this is important to knowledgeable users - stock market knowledgeable/interested, in your case - not meaning web savvy. However, you are targeting a more sophisticated crowd who will most likely be better than average at using websites. I think the tabbed menu at the top is spectacular, for this reason, and do not see a problem with it - I am used to them, though, so I really can't be objective in this case. I have some medium - strong suggestions, however: 1) - Provide links in your texet ie. -"...from selection of financial assets in NYSE, Nasdaq and AMEX to forecasting..." could very well be linked to the NYSE site, or a technical overview or F.A.Q. page about it. This is a crucial way to give credibility as your type of viewrs have been shown to rate well refernced text as highly desireable and confidence building. 2) - Put this near the top for new prospects Quote:
4) - This will help with #3 - Put the SEARCH! up at the top right and move the 'lod-in' below the header, perhaps. It is imperative to useability to have this quickly accessible for return users and 'stickiness'. Also, I would move the 'Newsletter Subscription' lower(You can always have a "Subscribe to newsletter" text link up kigher) or to another page if you want to make room bad enough - I don't know about going to another page as wise, though. That way you can get the Absolutely Free box up higher - always a good draw and thing to have noticed. 5) - Highlight Relevent Text because you can see that you will be more drawn to read this, and it makes VERY HANDY refernce points so people don't get lost reading text. 6) - Don't overuse the highlighting to much. See, you get annoyed here! Nice site, my man! ( I tried to use some 'techniques' here lol to show you the effect of giving a strong and appealing presentation, don't know if I got it exactly right - I would try to stay away from underlining words unless it is really clear that they are not links.) Two more! LOL : It is slightly difficult to see which exact page you are on sonetimes, maybe a more noticeable page title, or I would strongly suggest that the "Bread Crumb" navigation would go particulariliy well here. It ALSO gives people a reference point to the site structure and they feel more comfortable. Back and Next buttons at the bottom of each page in each section. The Help tab is just like the best idea for every site - good to see it! Good luck :O) |

Amzin -
Great looking site. I like the color scheme a lot, and think the top nav bar is very user friendly. The left column/nav is definitely a bit too cluttered ... maybe place a right nav/column and off load some of the content from the left to the right. If I remember correctly, our eyes are naturally drawn to the left of the page, so your more important content should be in that column and easily identified. The less important content should probably be moved to the right. Last comment I will make is a brief one regarding site optimization for the search engines. I would retitle your pages placing your primary targeted keyword/phrase first in the title. You have your site name first, which I have found to be not helpful in optimizing for the search engines. Afterall, few people will enter a keyword of "eMasterTrade" when looking for trading and investment tools on Google, Yahoo, etc. Good luck! |

I'm really worried about SEO of this resource and you advice is highly appreciated. BTW, we're already working on "un-cluttering" left column (I suppose dynamically generate it). Thanks again. |
