Hi there Eleftherios,
You have a great resource here for the classical music fan, and in particular for lovers of classic film scores. I would agree with Mary Ann's comments... that a simple introductory page that explained the purpose of the site and detailed the contents would be an important addition. Mary Ann also mentioned the slow loading time... there are 70 images on the homepage alone, total file size for all the images: 348.35 kb. The HTML content on its own accounts for 32.90 Kb. This gives a staggering sum of 390kb, for the total page size! - this will take over a minute to download on a 56k modem. The B&W photos are probably the only images I wouldn't modify... but there's an awful lot of optimising you can do elsewhere. Even a simple conversion to 16 colors for each of your menu button gifs would save you 60% on each image's file size. The HTML content could be dramatically reduced if you used a separate CSS stylesheet to control your page formatting. There's no disputing that you have some excellent content here.. however the pages are way too long, and will mean considerable scrolling for your readers. Try breaking the pages into smaller chunks and linking them. By the way, I have an old cinema annual of my Dad's from the 1940s, and I remember seeing Errol Flynn as "The Sea Hawk". I had no idea that the film score was written by a classical composer... just goes to show the quality of the medium back in Hollywood's golden age. I wish you lots of luck with the site, Paul |

Giasou :-)
I like your site over all... :-) You might want to make a few of the images smaller... will help with the slow the loading time Also... for some of the blocks of text like on the biography page you might want to align the text right instead of center Na prosehis :-) Czar
