I am completely new to this forum, but have read a large portion of it. WOW! I am looking forward to reviewing as many sites as possible.

I have had a presence (if you can call it that) on the web since 1994, and I've gone through many keyboards and monitors in the process!

I'm not sure how much help I can be of to all of you out there, but I'll try my best.

As far as my website goes, we recently redesigned the entire thing (2 months ago). PLEASE, DON'T HOLD BACK! I'm serious. I know the site is not perfect. I can tell by my conversion rate. That's what I need your help with.

Thanks in advance!

Default I like the site:)

I have heard about your site before... never been there before now...but heres what I saw..it opened very fast even on dial up...that's awesome...the blue font on the grey background on the left frame was hard to read... You may want to make all of the font on the whole front page a little bigger...

The different search packages you have I would break those up and use a customer referal that pretained to each different type of search that you offer... to break it up a bit ... it'd be easier to read and more fun than just straight info and sales...People like to hear when good things happen to others like short renuion stories...
Cheers,
NeO~1

Default Thanks for your review!

NeO~1,

Thank you so much for your review! Your idea of adding reunion stories in between each of the search options is fantastic! I think I'll incorporate it in this weekend. Any other thoughts/ideas?

Thanks again.

Default My site

If anyone has any comments on my site, please reply. The site is not very big. It shouldn't take too long to look at.

Thanks again.

Default one last suggestion...

Hi Tom,
Since people will probably have a ton of questions for you this could either be really good for you or it could go horribly wrong... But I think Great Customer Service is key in any buisness...We all want instant gratification...and if I have to email you a question and wait 24-48hrs for a response I'll just say forget it... Check out my site and look at the Live Customer Support... you can get the exact same php client that I have (it's free :)for live support it's instant gratification on the www. my clients love it :)

Cheers M8

Hey Tom.

The site's laid out nicely, but I have to agree about your navigation links...even after I put on my glasses I couldn't read them at all. Change that quick!

Other than that...good job.

One obsvervation, which probably stems from my own paranoia, was the social security # option flashed 'ID theft' in my mind, even though you return info based on it. Wierd, huh?

Default Thanks alot for your reviews!

NeO~1 -

Thanks alot for that Live Chat thing. I have gotten a few emails from companies that offer that type of thing, but they were pretty expensive. I'll definitely check into yours. I agree, it probably would put my customers at ease. Look at your post subject - I am reviewing your site now.

neodemesne (SP?) -

Thanks for your review, as well. I will change the color of the background today. Strange thing is, I don't have a problem reading at all on my computer. I wonder why.

It's really the issue of eyesight. some peoples' eyes are bad and small text on screen makes it hard. Especially on grey.

Thanks ejrsdotcom,

I changed that to a lighter color. How does it look now? Any other things?

I agree with the above statements but I have to say that it wasn't immediately apparent what countries you cover. I had to find "illinois" & see the $ signs before I realised it was an american site.

I think a few photos would help and if you're going to have banners, you don't want visitors leaving your site so it's a good idea to have them open in a new window.

Other than that, keep up the good work ;)

I would maybe move your testamonials away from your list of searches. Maybe add another column on the right hand side just for testamonials. They just don't look right where you have them.

Default Thanks again for your reviews!

Thanks to everyone that has looked at my site! Just from the last few days, I have incorporated most of what was suggested, and a little of my own stuff, my conversion rate has gone up. We'll see how it lasts.

Thanks again!

Default Update?

OK...so how DID it last?

FWIW - you have PR 6 and your traffic has been up and down (more down than up, by the looks of it.)

How has biz been?

Just revisiting some old posts!
