Default Real estate listing site

I just finished and submitted this Philippine real estate listing site and would appreciate some comments.

www.philhomes.net

I know it's a bit slow at first coz i added some javascript for better presentation. The space at the header would be for ads later.

Thanks!

i would take off all the (new) images from the menu on the left. keep just one or two. and keep swapping them around instead of having ALL of them as new.

it loses the effect ur trying to make.

oh yeah i didn't notice that. thanks! categories are marked 'new' by default and the only ones not marked were actually from an older site.

now i'm thinking would it be good to replace the 'new' image's alt tag with a keyword? or should i just skip the alt?

Loaded quick for me.

Google will love it. I am webmaster for multiple real estate sites and from a design aspect are not that exciting, search engines love them and so all receive high traffic and agent gets lots of enquiries and leads daily so my client is happy and keeps me employed!

Thanks webgurl for the encouragement!:D I myself have another real estate website with many inquiries before this.

I really hope it does good on google as I designed the site with searchability as top priority. I just submitted it 2 days ago however things got screwed up with my hosting yesterday resulting in 9 hours downtime. I just hope that did not do any major damage.

Haha. Yeah I would never have thought about these kinds of websites had not this one real estate broker guy approach me with this idea.

Mavantooth, are you from the Philippines? Your name sounds like a Filipino word or something. :D

Default Good but...

Augustin: I have to say overall I like the site, but it's design appears to have just too darn much text for my liking. Sorry I have to disagree with the others, but I think you need lots of good rich text all right, but it just seems to busy. Sorry to burst the bubble here. It really is an information kinda real estate site, but too many items to chose from up front. I think that will hurt you as far as keeping viewers on the site.

Good luck with it what ever you decide to do!

I like the site, got a good feel to it..

If i had to find a negative i would personally prefer to see it centred..(but thats just me)

Also you need to do a fair bit on validation..

So I finally centered it after the nth suggestion from my friends and from the forums and now I see it really looks a lot better centered.

I agree there could be a lot of text there on the top portion especially if your using 800x600. I'd have to come up with something to add there but maybe later.

Thanks again! :D

Maybe so, however, how many people go to your index page as the first page? My stats show very few. If the aim of the game is to get the Google ranking and all pages indexed, people will come in on the exact page they are after.

Here are stats of keywords from one of the sites:

11 Apr, Tue, 03:15:03 Yahoo: orlando townhouses
11 Apr, Tue, 03:36:27 Google: houses for sale in gold coast australia
11 Apr, Tue, 03:49:46 Google: gold coast property for sales
11 Apr, Tue, 04:21:21 Google: house for sale in Queensland Australia
11 Apr, Tue, 04:31:24 MSN Search: gold coast school of real estate
11 Apr, Tue, 04:42:39 Google: buy new house brisbane au
11 Apr, Tue, 04:53:06 Google: houses for sale gold coast brisbane
11 Apr, Tue, 05:30:03 Google: property to buy gold coast australia
11 Apr, Tue, 06:08:29 Google: new houses gold coast brisbane
11 Apr, Tue, 06:23:17 Google: web cam gold coast
11 Apr, Tue, 06:23:34 Yahoo: real estate, gold coast
11 Apr, Tue, 06:44:58 Google: real estate Gold Coast australia
11 Apr, Tue, 07:30:52 MSN Search: gold coast estate agents
11 Apr, Tue, 07:54:41 Google: gold coast australia property
11 Apr, Tue, 07:55:19 Google: gaven street map gold coast
11 Apr, Tue, 07:59:10 Google: gold coast house
11 Apr, Tue, 07:59:58 MSN Search: Ormeau property for sale
11 Apr, Tue, 08:06:35 Google: gold coast house sales research
11 Apr, Tue, 08:29:06 MSN Search: gold coast real estate
11 Apr, Tue, 08:39:42 Google: coomera

I can understand if the website has a property search facility on the index page, that is where you want them, but not every real estate agent has that technology on their website.
