Just a newbie here. I just learned how to build a website using MsFrontpage at home. My main website is about Computers and is just four months old. But it has now on the top post in MSN with the keyword "free pc tips" and it's no.2 with the keyword "free pc troubleshooting tips". I submitted my site for review to other webmaster forum, some webmaster comments are negative.
"Just from a quick look i'll say this, it looks very amature" I already made some changes, I want to submit it again for review to other Forum. Please review www.sacada2.net. Thanks a lot. |

Hello..
Not a profesional like some of the guys on here so can only comment from a user point of view. without trying to sound too negative i believe you should take out the effect on the rollovers(on the index page). it really is off putting. also maybe think about positioning the page in the centre so those on higher res dont have too much white space on the right side of the screen. Maybe also you could change or alter the logo as for me sharper images do give more of a professional look. But other than that its all there and works for me, so other than just tidying it up and making it as user friendly as possible its a good job.. congrats on getting in the se top spots. just keep at it. Good luck |

Thanks for your comments bolty2uk,
Right after I read your post, I revised the whole website. Only the templates remain unchanged. I really tried to put it in the middle, but I can't changed the templates code. I still need to research more I guess. Thanks again. P.S If you are an affiliate marketer, I have a lot of free e-books, software in my download section. You can download it for free. You can even resale it. |

It's not possible, here is the result:
http://www.sacada2.net/index2/index.htm the templates backround remained. I think something must be change here. <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <link href="../index/custom.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"> <meta name="Microsoft Theme" content="profile 1110, default"> |

I think I should stick to this template for the maintime. Actually this is not my original template. When I first submitted this for review in other furom, one webmaster is offering a free template just for my site not to look very amateur. So I decided to look for my free templates in my Fantastico and I decided to use this one.
When I change my template, I lost my ranking in MSN, I only regain it later. I'm a bit worried I might lost it again. It's not easy to beat 6 million website competting with the same "free pc tips" keywords. It's my energizer so far. Presently I'm trying to build a new site using Dreamweaver, it's a little bit complicated. But I'm pretty sure I can do it. I just have some problem right now, I can't insert my Google Adsense code. I need some help for this. Lastly, I just want to share this Cool SEO Tool. Although it's not 100% acurate. Since my site is not in first 100 in MSN with "free pc tips" try "free pc troubleshooting tips" or cpu troubleshooting tips". http://www.webuildpages.com/cool-seo-tool/ You can check your website ranking in Google, Yahoo and MSN. |

That is a great tool sacada2.
i think you have made a good choice for trying out dreamweaver, i agree with the other guys you need to ditch the frontpage.. i personally wouldnt have though that if you had a bit of a change on your site as long as you kept the content and domain the same as before it wouldn't effect you rankings. good luck with dw im sure when you get the hang of that you will fully understand the "ditch frontpage" comments |

I also taught myself how to html at home, so I understand exactly what you're going through. For a first time, you did wonderful. I've used frontpage and dreamweaver. Dreamweaver is definitely easier and better in the long run. I also have a html cheatsheet if you would like a copy of it. Just PM me and I'll send it to you.
The only suggestion I'll make since everything else seems to be covered, when you have a link going to another site, you might want to do target="_blank", it makes a new browser window open leaving your site still up there. Just a suggestion.
