Default Please review my website

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for taking the time to look at my post.

I recently (Jan-06) launched a new Internet Marketing website and I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

The link is: http://www.victorykey.com/

Also, I would be very interested in a reciprocal linking arrangement with other complimentary sites.

Thanks in advance!

Michael

hello,
the main thing i noticed that could be improved is it seems a bit cramped up at the top of the page, the tilte almsot blends straight into the content of the page. a bit of empty space can do a lot for layout.

Yes I agree a bit of white space will help your layout alot.

Given there isn't much color in this website I would suggest using the typography to seperate your headings and content. The site currently all blends together and a user could be overwhelmed with what to do.

All the best.

Hi Michael,
Not a bad looking site but I would watch out for your referrals.
When looking through your pages I read where you tell folks to use 1and1 hosting.
A quick Google of 1and1 reviews brings up a highly negative review in the first result.
There is a whole page of negative comments, the first starting:
"What a mad, mad, frustrating, circular, futile hastle these people are.

Until late 2005 I had 60 + domains hosted with 1&1. That is until the frustration of just going about my business with them left me shattered from stress anger and frustration.

When things work, which at a basic level they usually do, then everything is apparently fine. But any problems requiring contact with 1&1, including tech support but particularly accounts/billing and boy, you will quickly learn that the biggest problem is 1&1 itself.

After months and months of lost days we eventually decided to take all our domains elsewhere. I am still, several months later, trying to finalise the simplest of jobs with them - stopping them from charging me for non existent services.

Eventually the only option left to me was to cancel my credit card, contact Visa and advise them of why I was doing this, which was basically because it was the only way I could stop 1&1 from taking money from me for cancelled or non existent domains."

In your tip you state :"3-Click Rule: Web users should be able to get from one location of your website to any other location in no more than 3 clicks."
If I remember correctly, this should read "3-Click Rule: Web users should be able to get from their current location to their final desination in no more than 3 clicks."

Thanks guys for the great feedback! I really appreciate it!

They're all very good comments and I will look into fixing those issues asap.

From a graphical standpoint, the layout needs a little more interest and definition. Try adding a background color to your left column and then widen that a bit to add some much-needed white space.

You're missing a DOCTYPE declaration.

Your font styles should be defined in your CSS, not in the code (lots of <font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="1"> throughout your page).

I agree with Marcie on the graphical issue, the site is really lacking.

I think a marketing site should have a little more life.
