Default bestpartyever.com

A new site for the event and party planning industry.

The site has been live for about 2 weeks, please give us some feedback. WE are aware the site is a bit slow, and we are moving it to a new dual opteron box this weekend.

Thanks

Default Great start...

You have a pretty solid start to the site. I would take a look at a few things.

One of the first things that I noticed is some of your main, centered content overlaps into your left background and navigation bar. Causing the text to be hard to read.

Also, some of the speed issues aren't based on your server, but on the heavy use of images within the site. If you reduce your dependance on the images, you'll find the site will load much quicker.

I like the design, and I think you have a good concept, just need to get your listings filled in and things will go great from there.

Great start, just needs a little tender loving tuning.

The site looked fine in Firefox but the layout shifted around a great deal in IE - be sure to test it there.

Default The site looks solid

Yes, I agree that the site is bit slower (performace wise) and your decision to move to new server is correct. Otherwise, I've checked it on IE and firefox both browsers and there is a little difference as pointed by the previous post.

Overall, Solid looks and clean layout. Good use of space.

Layout in Firefox, which is fine (except for text overlap into fourth column):

The error in IE (New Listings appear under photo, not in column under the New Listings header)

Default bestpartyever site

At first glance I wanted to see real party pictures and ideas...do you have any evidence that you know how to have the best parties ever? I would love to click on a photo that looks like the type of party I want to have and then get your help to put it on. I am a visual person. If you could do that...I will revisit because I love the name of your site! Visit my site and look at all the pictures...every page has something.

Put some fun into it. What the other posters are saying is ditto.

I'm having the same problems as Marcie with IE.

The header is a little boring for a party site. Maybe adding a different font, logo or some pictures would help.

Other then that a very nice looking site.
