Default kindly review http://www.bicg.org

Dear All,

kindly have a critical look at http://www.bicg.org and if possible send me your feedback. I actually have quite good results on Yahoo and MSN, while Google seems to rather ignore it.

I prepare http://www.bicg.info with a different keyword structure to target Google, but really lack the knowledge or experience.

We are a small and young company and really apreciate your critical feedback to allow us to improve.

Best regards
Christian

Hiya,

my first impression was: this does not look professional. why? well.. I cant see colour coordination at all. Your either targetting blue colours? or shades of greens? By all means do use one of them for let say images or creative fonts to draw attention.

The logo should be smaller and would look much nicer to the left top corner of the site.

why when the images to the sides are clicked, they take the user to another window? always keep the user in the same place - external windows are only used when you want to direct the user to another site.

not sure how to explain this, but the images to the side, gives the feeling that they are the menu.. which made me ignore the original green menu at the top.

Hope this helps.
thanks

Dear T,

Thanks a lot for your review and feedback!!!

I believe you are absolutely right regarding the images!!!

One problem I had with the right side images, was that it actually is an external blog, but left should really come up on same page...

The blog is also something I'm not really sure about.

Also the color comment gives me to think...

I definately will have a discussion with our webmaster and alsoi the team and wait a few more days to collect more feedback...

Once I have made changes I'd really apreciate you to have a look again ;-)

Thanks a lot, its really good to have this forum (just found it today), especially living on a small island with limited resources

All the best
Chris

Hi Chris,

where abouts are you? sound like a nice exclusive place:)

by all means, wait and see more feedback from the members.. they probably have more expertise than I do.. I was only judging from a user point of view.

I was advised before to check sites that I like a lot..and see why do i like them? that way I can work around mine and create something similar. in ur case, u need to look at competitive sites and see what are they doing good ;) and do ur own version of it to make u sell more.

Good luck and nice having u around.

You may want to make menu or at least the page titles in text useing H1 tags which you can style instead of images. Also fixing your titles so that they represent more of what the page content is about and is more descriptive. Don't always begin with your titles with your company name.
