| Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate. |

Howdy folks.
I'm looking for some feedback in regards to conversion on my site. As of right now, you can't actually purchase anything directly from the site, but it's set up so people can fill out a form and request info from each product detail page of the site, basically a mock-purchase. I rarely get any requests. Any thoughts, suggestions etc., on making things simpler, or to provoke more requests'd be greatly appreciated. GraphixPlus.com Thanks. |

Hey I think you have this page set up nicely. I am in Real Estate and always looking for stuff like this and your site is alot like other ones I have seen out there. The only thing I might change is when you click on the object and all the information pops up in the new window. The large quantity orders with price quotes in the navy box with grey writing is very hard to read. Good Luck with everything.

First suggestion, keep the site design an make it what it appears to be -- allowing direct purchase. Alternative suggestion, redesign the site. This will mean getting away from product centricity and developing some plausible reason for doing business without online ordering. You downplay the product and play up consultation, meaning a much more information-rich site. Quite frankly, the second approach is the bigger gamble. And you will have to demonstrate some expertise in, for example, matching customers and product in unconventional ways. |

Interesting thoughts DCrux...although a complete rebuild is out of the question at this point (just recently launched this version after about 3 months of development), the 'purchas' as opposed to 'request info' idea sounds plausible.
Although I haven't done any ecommerce work, I'll read up on shopping cart integration...any suggestions on where to look for that sort of thing? Thanks again, and I'm still open to other points of view. |
