Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate.

Default My Web Design Company

Hey guys... long time no see!
I've just started building a web design site and would appreciate your initial feedback on the couple of pages that I have done.
Do you think I should carry on, what should I improve?

Or just let me know if you love it or hate it!
Cheers
Craig

Looks good to me :)

The only thing I would add is a "Home" link to the top navigation & link the logo to the homepage as well ;)

Default grammar

The look is nice....soft, inviting. But as soon as I started reading I was turned off completely.

There is not much content on your home page, but you make up for it with lots and lots of grammatical errors: cases, tenses, punctuation, etc. Not meaning to be mean, but if I were looking for a company to build a professional web site yours would definitely not be the one due to all the grammatical errors. If "cater for" is a British term and you are only appealing to English people I guess you can leave it, but in American we "cater to" people. We "cater for weddings". There is a BIG difference. You need to get help from someone who knows how to write correctly and when possible to stick to terminology that is cross-cultural.

I agree with Weedy about the text but I also don't like the font used for the logo and title. It looks like it's really playfull and not exuding any seriousness at all. Try changing the font, making all the links in the header the same color and removing the 1 pixel border around the whole site. I say less is more and you might come out with a site that is a lot cleaner looking. Maybe try sticking to a color scheme of 2-3 colors. And of course work on the content because that's really what counts.

Peace,

Jeff

Default 26global is wrong about the look

I think the design of your website is lovely, but agree with Weedy that the text on the first page needs work. suggestion: instead of referring to personal and business websites, give specifics -- online stores, portfolios, whatever.

Loved the About page. Except that I assumed Preston was in the US until I realized you were Brits.

Thank you guys for your feedback, I have been recently busy with uni assignments so not had much chance to change the site. Last night i did add a small forum to it, which took my a while to work out! any chance you could have a look at that? I will change the text soon!

Regards
Craig
