| Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate. |

I've worked forever on this, and I'm willing to work some more if you guys think I need to change stuff.
The full list of URLs I have created using this format is available here: http://wethegeeks.com/diglife.html Here are some examples from that list: http://wethegeeks.com/diglife/ipod3gen01.html http://wethegeeks.com/diglife/5intrigger01.html http://wethegeeks.com/diglife/logpocket01.html Note: Everything isn't done, but the links I've posted above pretty much represent what a "finished" page would hopefully look like. Even so, some links don't work, etc. Thank you WPW! |

Problem I'm having is your concept.. what is the site supposed to be all about, what category does it fall in. Please can you give me that description as to what you imagine it to be and then I will be able to guide you more Cheers Great work so far!

Your text should be resizable.
Other than that, everything's all good at this end. The pages are nice and clean and, while containing some trendwhorish elements and somewhat unnecessary DW code, are "unique enough". Nice job!

Looks nice. What's it about? How will the menus work?
I started reading a couple of the items - you really need to edit your text, it's unecessarily long-winded and complicated

WeTheGeeks.com is a site that reviews products aimed at digitally inclined consumers... the website once was technicalgeek.com and had many more sections, but is now condensed and combined into two: gaming and digital lifestyle.
Gaming (will) have reviews of games for mainly PC but also console systems, along with hardware items and accessories like strategy guides. The digital lifestyle section, which you are seeing now, is reviews of gadgets and just cool things that would appeal to a "geek." So I'm getting the message that the reviews are too long? Print oriented? I read that link you posted faglork, very interesting. I'm thinking I should add subheadings with h2 tags and I guess shorten my reviews and make them more to the point... The ones listed on \diglife.html are just a -brief- list.... wait till you see the gaming section and how many reviews are up there... The old website has review lists here: http://wethegeeks.com/games.htm http://wethegeeks.com/diglife.htm Overall though, the design is rather solid? The only thing I'm concerned with is when reviews are more than one page... the side columns are the same exact thing on every page of the review... For instance the iPod review: http://wethegeeks.com/diglife/ipod3gen01.html Any takes on this? Adam, what do you mean by resizable text? Like user resizeable? Paul, the menu is just as you see it on the side... the home, digital lifestlye, gaming etc. Each of those would link to a "main" section page, yet to be created, and then from there, you would get to each individual review, like those posted at the /diglife.html link. Thank you very much for your help. |
