Default Site opinion

Hello I'm the owner of www.yourecommerce.com I have redesigned my website for better customer access. However I just want some more opinions on it. The thing I'm looking for is, is it easy to navigate?

i feel that your navigation is rather confusing.. you have 2 sets of navigation, one which is on top and the other on the LHS. But seems that some of the links are pointin to the same page.

Normally, when website has 2 sets of navigation like yours, the navigation on the top is regarded as primary navigation and the LHS will be the secondary (which should consist of additional links pertaining to each relevant page).

The font color you have chosen for your text is rather pale in color. 1 thing I dislike about your site (sorry about that), is the Need some ideas section... the text is scrolling so fast until i can hardly see any words.. why not place static text instead?

just my 2 cents...

Is it easy to navigate? Not especially!

I don't like the four buttons across the top, because they seem kinda arbitrarily selected. Are these four buttons really more important than the nine or ten buttons at left? Usually when there are four buttons across the top, they function as categories for drop-down menus...

I don't like the fact that NONE of your buttons provide feedback on mouseover (beyond what my browser does to the cursor).

I don't like the fact that none of your text hyperlinks show whether I've already visited them.

I don't like your habit of putting "Click for more" as the link text, after underlining whatever sentence precedes "click for more". I kept trying to click on the sentences, but they aren't hyperlinks. From an SEO perspective, you're wasting a big opportunity too.

I don't like the absence of basic navigation buttons at the bottom of pages. After I scroll all the way down, I don't like having to scroll all the way back up... and besides, your little "Free Technical Support" footer looks like it should be clickable.

On the home page, your last hyperlink is simple "more" (in a bulleted list of benefits.) In fact, it doesn't take me to more benefits... it takes me to a page called "pricing"... which mysteriously hides the pricing. (Okay, I see. $175. But I had to really look for it. That page, by the way, is REALLY hard to read.)

Off the topic of navigation... That "massive data failure" news item was the first thing I read about on your whole website... I think it's counterproductive. It made me think your hosting company's servers are vulnerable to further disruptions. It also made me wonder why you don't own your own servers. IMHO that's not very professional looking - I'd kill it immediately! The second news item says "performs all competitors". What does that mean?

Overall, the website looks pretty good. I just think you could make quick and important improvements.

Bit crowded, useable page area is too narrow.

Change your navigation to something clearer.

The scroll feature is kind of chunky and has an awkward feel to it -just worked out that it is due to your using a grid background. I wonder if it is worth it.

From viewing your page I am not sure what kind of software you deal in. It is confusing. Also the text colour is kind of weak.

Improvements to the code would include using CSS.

The layout and graphics are good. Navigation is fine, but ease is diminished with every new menu system and link you add to a page.

Whoa!

Ok, the email address thing in the top header has got to go - not professional placement.

Light grey for latest news.. not dark enough.

Font's just are not matching up. Really need to stick with 3 and about 3 sizes.

The menu is just too small.

When I clicked on overview - the big image..

is just too big and does not really go well.

I know you asked about nav.. but, most will not take the time to nav as it's not nav worthy just yet. Close, but still needs alot of work.

Try the online store options, just is too far out there creative wise in trying to catch someones eye.. they won't bother IMHO.

I would take the advise of these review and make some quick serious ajustments.
