Default Please Review: www.CaliforniaFreebies.com

Hi:) I was wondering whether anyone could take a look at http://www.californiafreebies.com/ and give me some feedback. It's still under construction so be gentle. I'd very much appreciate any constructive criticism you could provide me with. Thank you very much!

At first glance, here are some of the things that strike me:

1. Darken the text in the logo. Even on a 19" monitor, the yellow writing tends to fade into the masthead background. either darken the text, outline it, or darken the blue in the sky color.

2. the sidebar background seems a little light for my tastes. I would suggest darkening it up a bit as well.

3. Try using something other than the default font. Arial, Verdana or some other Sans-Serif font would be easier to read for most people.

4. the site content is wider than the masthead. try either making the content area the same size as the masthead, or coding the masthead so that it expands to match the width of the content. this helps with consistency.

5. Try centering the Google Ads you've got listed. it just looks better, at least to me...
