This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate. |

Hi all, I was recently encouraged to join your boards by one of your top members. He says you guys are the best and I am ready to test that statement:-) I'm looking to return to the top (i'll take top 10, I'm not too greedy) with two sites that for years have/had been at the top of the rankings, but are now suffering.
The two sites are www.aaascreensavers.com - Keyword "screensavers" www.aaathemes.com - Keyword "desktop themes" As little as one year ago, I had top SERPs (in G) for just about any keyword combination ($keyword screensaver, or $keyword desktop theme) you could think of, for example: wwe screensavers, disney screensavers, wolf desktop themes, american flag desktop themes, etc. After the last few G updates (over the course of the last 10-12 months) I was down to just a single SERP for my main keywords, and now after the Jagger 3 release I appear to have been banished, most recently to page 16 and 10 respectively. Some problems I see with the sites is that they are on a shared IP, they interlink to heavily probably, and perhaps keyword density. Right now I rank well on MSN and decent on Yahoo for "desktop themes", but at one time I ranked in the top 10 on Yahoo for both main terms. Anyway, I am open to any and all suggestions, hints, theories, ideas. Be gentle! Thanks for your time, Andy |

Welcome to WPW, Andy. I'd highly recommend you post here as well to get a great report from ctabuk. It'll provide some very interesting ideas for you.
If you're concerned about the interlinking, rel=nofollow is a simple solution. The link is still there for your users, but Google won't view it as a site-wide link and issue any penalties for it. The keyword density for "screensavers" is way high. I see it as over 22% right now. That could easily get you a penalty. Here is a useful link to check the density. It'd probably help you out a lot to find some alternative words for screensavers. A brief history of screensavers could help, too. Dictionary.com had a decent one to get you started. Since the whole site is about screensavers, I don't think it is necessary to have screensavers on every link in your main navigation. That'd save you a lot of occurrences. I'm sure there are a ton more things to do, but that's a start. Brian.
