I recently purchased this website. *Like today* :)

I'm trying to conjure up some ideas for the front page, and a 'brand' style banner campaign.

Help me brainstorm! Please do make comments about anything there.

Hi there,

Not bad! Liked the design in the left frame... although it was a bit "dark"! But... I didn't quite get the idea with the right frame? What WAS that? ;) Flies? Bubbles? Maybe I'm just being stupid... but I just didn't GET that..... if I was you, I'd lose the right frame :)
I also found the yellow font against the black background a bit hard to read!
But... all in all; quite good!!

I don't like the bubbles either. What are they for?

The main page took ages to load and I'm on cable. Not sure if that was just a transient thing, though.

On the forum page I counted well over 100kb of graphics (the images and that wooden background). On a dialup people will suffer.

That said, it is irritatingly easy on the eye, and although I can't figure out why the heck I'd want to go there personally, it is clear from the forums that there are quite a few weird people who share this planet :)

I'd hate to meet up people who speak in 'piratese' all the time ;)

Seriously, how confident are you in making significant changes? It might be worthwhile posting again when you've brainstormed some different possibilities. It has a lot of potential, I'd say.

After looking it over from the backend:

>It has email hosted at everyone.com
>An invision power board
>A bunch of links that look like they belong to pyracy but actually go elsewhere

Well, lets just say that most of the links are pointed elsewhere for scripts that are all over. I'm thinking about bringing them together in one, and possably intergrate it with a content managment script. However, I don't want to interupt the current services.

Any script writers out there that want to help with some ideas?

As far as design, I agree with the bubbles. The bubbles didn't even show up until I switched computers and checked them out there.

It does need some work, but there is SO much potential with this that I'm trying to think of what I want, without turning off a lot of current residents.

Any ideas?

I redid the front page a bit. Just rearranged items to have it make more sense and get a cleaner look. I'm not happy about that top navigation bar at all. Just added a different color to give direction but don't like the color mix. I'll be changing that but don't know what yet.

Any comments again. I know the yellow wording etc. but I don't want too dramatic of a change. Don't want to turn any of the regulars off from the site. :)
