Default Paper Crop Circles for Everyone!

Hey kids,

Here is my latest website endeavor for a children's craft site. It was a real kick making it. I think it will be a good tool to help teach children math.

Default Poor Example of Google Ad Sense Usage.

This is supposed to be a kids site right? The way that you use the ads is deceiving. I must have went to 10 different sites and or google ads before I found your content.
As far as the content is concerned. It is fine and could be useful. Decide what you want. Kids visiting your site and learning something or grownups getting mad at links taking them somewhere else. Why would a kid want to download firefox? Do not use your site name as a your "Home" link. I like the backround. However, since all of the artwork is white. I would consider using a white background for your content area.

Default Thanks for the comments

Thanks for checking out the site. I'm not quite sure why you seemed to have such a rough time with the Google ads. They are clearly marked as ads and all my "content" links have kid-friendly images to help them navigate.

Plus, I've only received a 1 to 2 percent click through average on 824,257 page impressions this month on all my sites so far, so I think most people are adept at avoiding the ads. At least I think so - anyone else have a problem with the ads?

Will change the name of the home page link though. I let that one slip. And, will remove the firefox ads. They seem to be duds anyway.

Default It just seems to me.

When a site is for kids all the information should target kids. If you get a chance try my Yoddle Relations. You are in control of what is displayed. Here is an example
<script src="http://www.yoddle.net/cgi-bin/relations/include.cgi?keywords=drawing&number=5&external=1&j ava=1"></script>
Here you can preview the results:

Here is another idea:
http://yoddle.net/cgi-bin/relations/...ids+activities
Use the script above and you can change the number of results as well as the keyword. Let me know what you think. EDIT- Here is an example in our search results. The relations are to the right you may even compare to google.http://www.yes.yoddle.net/cgi-bin/ye...ids+activities

Default Thanks

Webmaker,

You are obviously a programmer and a good one at that. I am a web designer and artist and do not know a thing about cgi or perl or most programming and script languages.

My target audience(s) are children, teachers, parents and caregivers of children...but my sites also attract people who use my images as patterns for crochet, embroidery and stenciling, etc...

Yes, I have children in mind when I create my sites, but seems it's the adults who are doing the most looking.

I'm very glad Google is doing all the back end, technical work for me - and paying me for the priviledge. :-)

PS: when I entered this URL: http://www.yes.yoddle.net/

I was able to view your directory files. Do you mean to allow this?

Default Thanks SnowFlake

No..That was an oversite on my part. I just use the cgi there for my search engine. See...Now I have a good idea. I will place a google style search page there. Thanks alot.
PS. Keep an eye on my Yoddle Related Service. It too will pay. It is the same as ad words but allows for you to control the output. I am going to work on that oversight of mine that you found. Again thanks.
