This is my first post, I hope I am submitting correctly.

Where to begin...

First off, lose the frames. They're all-around bad news. You should be able to find tutorials on how to build a simple site w/out frames that should work how you want it to.

Secondly, I'd advise taking some decent pictures of the band.

Thirdly, lose the animated gifs...they aren't cool.

You really need to take a look around at other band websites...this style is VERY dated (rainbow gradients, etc...).

As for the loading time issue...it could be related to the quicktime movie that is loading up. Also, on your 'upcoming shows' page, it looks like the font is about a 500pt. No reason for that.

I truly apologize for the harsh review...but to be honest, just based on the site, i wouldn't hire these guys.

Just my two cents.

I had a hard time getting a handle on this site. First I thought it was for a nightclub. Took me a while to realize it was a band.

I also didn't realize that those rectangles with rainbows in them were menu buttons.

I didn't realize it was a Stones tribute band until I clicked on "bios".

Then I realized that it does say that on the home page, but it's in red letters right on a photo of the band - it's almost impossible to read there.

Also, you're right, it does take a little too long to load.

I clicked on the button for upcoming shows and didn't get anything, so you should check that out.

I would suggest you put the headline - Rolling Stones Tribute Band - underneath the photo, and make it big and bold.

If you move the menu buttons to a row on the left, so that they are set up the way most sites are, it will be more clear that those are menu buttons.

And the grey font on black for the upcoming show is hard to read, but the purple is easer. In any case, I think you should play around with other colors and get rid of the grey.

I hope this is helpful.

Janet

I knew you were a Stones cover band before I even clicked on the link... and I think the website says "Stones" all over it.

I think Ran is pretty much right on track - I agree with all his comments. Your site is way, way, way too slow to load. I don't think you need a Quicktime movie at all, and I wouldn't advise loading it automatically on the homepage. I'm sitting here with a DSL connection, and I can't even see your navigation buttons yet (because I'm waiting for stuff to load.)

The home page needs a proper title tag.
