- the links on the LHS are not working..i assume they are not because this is still a testing stage.

- the contact details would be best placed in a seperate page called (contact us)

- the top banner does not match with the over all look and feel of the site.

when you have less text - usually sites tend to shrink the width of the tables and make them centralised for ease of reading.

Hi Craig.
I have one question.
Why are all of the site's staff "hiding" behind hotmail addresses?

I may be alone in my opinion but using free webmail addresses greatly reduces one's credibility.

IMO it would be better to have the staff's email @the_domain_name

hi, i know what your saying! Its just they created the site a few years ago, and because it was hosted free, (see my post above), they just had hotmail accounts. I will definately suggest they get name@domain.co.uk email addresses as it just looks far better for one!! Thank you for reviewing!

The site should be a fixed width or create a definitive header for the top that would go 100% width. I vote for fixed width, but the left menu seems a little to wide as the text in the body is far from the left. I would use horizontal rules or definite lines to separate content as well.

Hi Craig

how about you keep the animated logo sliding across the banner - but get rid of the purple/lilac colour at the end of it? i really think this site should have a clean white background colour..

test and change the main table details to this and see what i mean:

<TABLE cellSpacing=3 width="750" border=0 align=centre>

thanks

T

Hi Craig,

I'd go more concise with the home page navigation. You've got too many categories. General rule of thumb, no more than eight choices.

I also agree that having the size of the page move to fit the browser window is much nicer. Otherwise, the layout is fine. Clean, simple. I like that.

I noticed many links not working but I think you only asked for thoughts on the layout, correct?

Kathryn

Hi, I dont know how to put an img directly into the forum, and dont know if im allowed, but ive taken a prt sc of the modifications. The flash is now flawless, because i actually used flash instead of a shitty application. was hard to learn the basics tho. More comments would be very handy. Do you like the background or is it too distracting. What would you put there????

Thank you all,

Its looking a lot better.

I think I would categorize things a little more.

You have 41 links and a lot look like they could be lumped under distinct categories.

Too many choices is never good.
6 to 8 is usually recommended
