Default Woodenpropeller.com - just for fun

www.woodenpropeller.com

This is my hobby, not my business, and I've had the site on line for almost 9 months now. I'm a total novice at webmastering and SEO, but I'm pleased that the site shows up #1 on Google and most other SE's for search terms "wooden propeller" and "wooden propellers".

I have plans to add more content periodically to improve the site, but I welcome any suggestions from the experts to improve design, etc. I used Coolpage as my html editor.

I would play with the logo some. You could really come up with some neat logos for a business like this.

I would then put the logo at the top of the page so there is no text over the logo.

After that you need a really nice nav bar under the logo or down the left hand side of the page.

Some good text telling me why I should do business with you or at lest make me want to do business with you.

I would also play with the background colors more.

After you get your logo put it on every page.

Janeth is right that you need to play with the logo and you need a navigation bar.

But also the bright yellow box's are in no order at all, they are just there, slapped on, try arranging then into an order.

Good Luck.

Thanks. That gives me something to play around with.

I was under the impression, perhaps mistaken, that having descriptive text ahead of the logo would make it slightly more attractive from the search engine standpoint. If that's even remotely true, I would hate to change it around since I can't go any higher with Google, only lower.

Don't ask me where I got that impression. I don't even remember - probably something I read on a web site somewhere.

I don't think that is right, but don't take my word for it, I think having the keywords you have in your meta tags, in you body helps, and also having them in your ALT tags, Janeth will know, not to point the finger though,

Good Luck
