| Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate. |

Been reading up on SEO. Wondering if someone can give a review of what they found can be changed/improved upon. Thank you. |

From a visual standpoint, I like your homepage. I like the Flash header, I generally don't but yours is subtle, suits the site, and has a nice logo. I like the color combinations, they work well together and having the "Apply Online" the only thing in red makes it really stand out.
Unfortunately, from a search engine standpoint, your home page needs some work. Go back and look at the source code of your home page. Search engines don't see graphics, so what you see in the source code is all that they will see. They are not interested in the html code and since most of your content is in the form of graphics there is almost nothing for them to look at! "Learn More" buttons on your eligible properties page don't work in FireFox/Netscape. This probably also means AOL but I don't have a way of checking that. Page titles are one of the most important things in search engine optimization. Make a unique title for each page. I'll try and look more when I have time over the weekend. William. |

Thank you very much for checking it out.
It's hard to get an objective opinion from your boss/co-workers/family. Boss just tells you he hates it until you get it the way HE likes it. Co-workers give you crap about something that wasn't wrong to begin with. Family is just sucking up until birthday's/Christmas. So, after getting that off of my chest. I realize that I don't have many hard links on the site. Problem is that I needed to condense the amount of links up top as before they were kind of throw around too much. What I mean by that is I was looking for a better way to organize the existing links on the company site. Using a javascript dropdown menu seemed the best way to accomplish this. Looking at the statistics of who lands on our site and by doing searches for the keywords we have "optimized" for, we're doing okay in yahoo & msn. Of course Google hates us right now so I'm still working to figure that out. So, after all that, any suggestions on how to wrap those links in a presentable format using the current theme? |
