Could you elaborate on the purpose of the template?

If the template is for a wedding where all the relatives are aged 35 or under, you're okay. Otherwised, the small, illegible navigation labels make it troublesome to navigate.

What would work as a template is a very usable photo album structure. With overview of thumbnails, much like the better designer portfolios. The user is going to look through once. If they return, They'll be looking for a specific shot.

The idea of a template as a photoshop exercise is over. Web sites solve problems for users, and communicate. Even a wedding album has to have usefulness. Develop a coherent idea of who the users are. Like an older relative. ...Who has poor vision ...nnd wants to print out this or that photo.

Aesthetics are only one dimension of a site design.

The site has been reduced from its original size to accomodate downloads.

As far as the functionality, that's has not been coded, but will contain a CMS, Photo Gallery, and perhaps a weblog feature.

I understand from a usablity standpoint your comments, and I am aware of all of that.

The focus on the post was for aesthetics primarily, but I appreciate the backend and usuablity comments :)

heya cubeshark.....I appreciate the edge you have on "artistic qulity" However this particular page reminds me more of a Dance Studio theme .than weding.

I know black and white theme can be quite elegant , or even a formal flair..but once again...here I feel a more quiet and subdued content.. Thatrical in a Mime" sort of way...not the happy uplifting aura I would prefer from a wedding page.

You have a good photographic eye. You will find the correct balance ......try incorporating some simple color with the Blk & Wh and perhaps move away from the solo aspect and introduce and introduce the involvement of union between "two"

Alou, Appreciate the comments.

Because of your critique, and also coming from a female point of view, I changed the image to reflect the couple instead of the Bride.

And also, you stated that it was not uplifiting enough, so I included an image without the saturation, and played with the hue.

The only color added was to the image, diverting focus from the background, and directly towards the couple themselves.

Again, thanks for the female perspective :)
