Default civilwartheater.com

My site has been up and growing now for about a year. I know there are things that it needs to make for a better experience for visitors but I don't know exactly how to do them. I am, however open to suggestions and will gladly reciprocate with those who see fit to critique my site. My address again is
http://civilwartheater.com
I would like to add streaming video of my appearance on the Travel Channel but don't have either the know-how or the technology. Perhaps someone could make some suggestions.I can also be reached by phone TOLL FREE 1-888-246-4432
Thank you

I absolutely love the design elements. Talk about capturing the era.

Some things I would like to suggest:
1) There is a coding error on lines 733, 760 and 762 on the main page.

2) I noticed that your pages are titled page2.html, page3.html, etc. It would be easier for editing, SEO placement and viewing if your pages where named and titled to represent the content of the page.

3) Don’t' be afraid to wrap text around your images. You have some wonderful images on your pages, but you are creating a lot of wasted space and causing your viewers to scroll to view your text. If you left or right align your images and give them a horizontal and vertical spacing of 5-10 pixels, you will create a more fluid look and reduce scrolling.

4) Keep your fonts consistent across your site. You seem to have a style sheet linked to your pages, but you aren't using it for the copy. Go through the site and make sure all your copy is consistent in size, weight and color.

Oh, and you need to edit your post as you have a double closing tag on your url making the link unuseable.

My hubby would just LOVE to see this. He'd dig the Civil War thing.

You've got some great content in there! But the buttons and colors are making it hard to see beyond the first page.

Take that background set completely out. Use your business name and design a logo around it with a white background. Then use a splash of color just below your logo to draw the eyes.

Use a table to reorganize your information. And pull all text that isn't a header to the left.

The color scheme in the middle of this page: http://civilwartheater.com/page6.html I'd like to see around the entire thing. Change the blue to a color that suits your tastes but keep that clean look to it and use the occasional little gray box.

Use text links instead of graphics. Add more very sharp and clear pictures of the establishment, the food and the room where everything is put together, along with pictures of smiling guests and the workers of the establishment. A good smiling face while at your place is a very good testimonial that speaks a million words.

Hope that helps!

This is a great site!! I deffinatly dig the layout and graphics on the site. I would agree with an earlier comment about wrapping your paragraphs around you pics, It would make the page look fuller. Other than that, the only thing I would be worried about is the load time of each page. I am on a T1 and there is a slight delay between loading new pages. I don't know how this would act on a dial up connection, you might want to look into that.

Other than that, good work!! Koodos :o)

Default Load time on dialup connection !!

Hi
well there is delay in load time on dial up connections, Images and site design are good, but there should be more work on content managment.

Font selection and size is not good.

website is not carefully optimized for 800x600 resolution viewers.

buttons are nice looking.

There should be proportion in Header Text (Gettysberg Civil War Theater) and first heading "CIVIL WAR ERA DINNER THEATER OPENS IN GETTYSBURG ". Header's text and font is small as compare with headings.

You can place small banners under button area rather than middle of the page to get rid of too much scrolling.
