Default www.mt-digital.com - Please comment

Hi
I have a new website, MT Digital Home Technology that I'm trying to promote.
Could someone please tell me how to get ranked higher in search engines, more visitors etc? Is there something wrong with the content, design, meta tags etc or do I just need to be patient?

You have a great looking site! Great product too! The only thing I can see is that you don't have any meta tags. Please add those to your pages to help with the search engines' results. Please look at my site: www.my-it-solutions.com

Thanks for the complements about my site/product.
Regarding meta tags.
Yes I do have meta tags on my pages so no I dont think that is the problem. I'm not 100% sure about my meta tags CONTENT though, which is one of the reasons why Im asking for advice here.

Default SEO Review

Very beautiful and attractive web site.

Your award will be my recommendations/sugeestions for improving your Cross-SEO.

Code:
<title>Title must begin with the most important keyword(s)</title>
, including spaces max. 70 characters and keep human (meaningful too).

<meta name="description" content="description must begin with the most important keyword(s)">(including spaces max. 145 characters and keep human (meaningful).

Code:
<meta name="keywords" content="keywords must begin with the most important keyword(s), don't repeat them, but if you really want to, not more than twice, and not next to each other. Use at least one keyword in between">
(though Google ignores it. Anyway usie them including spaces max 150 characters).

All above must use keyword which are found in the main content of the page.

Check your title, description and keywords relevancy to your page content with this excellent tool: http://www.submitexpress.com/analyzer/
and this one http://www.sitesolutions.com/analysis.asp with a bit of caution. After using this tool, the check you page again with the previous tool, and then take his results for granted.

But ignore his message, that you have no Author meta tag.

Code:
<meta name="ROBOTS" content="">
(some SE ignore it, therefore better alternative is using a Robots.txt file which you can generate here: http://www.mcanerin.com/search-engine/robots-txt.htm ).

Avoid using if possible meta tags with "http-equiv"
Leave only this one:
Code:
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
and place it after your keywords Meta Tags.

Try to keep your pages not shorter than 200 words and no longer than 400 words where possible.

Irrelevant or unnecessary META tags can confuse the engines, which we certainly don't want. We also want our keyword-containing tags to appear first on the page, if possible immediately after the body tag.
Also we want to get rid of tags that do us no good! Semantics?

So get rid of the following:

<meta name="author" content="info@mt-digital.com">
<meta name="distribution" content="Global">
<meta name="copyright" content="The website is copyrighted and the property of MT Digital. Copying and distrubution is forbidden without prior permission">
<meta name="revisit-after" content="7 days" >
<meta name="pragma" content="no-cache" >
<meta name="URL" content="http://www.mt-digital.com" >
<meta name="author" content="MT-Digital Home Technology" >
<meta name="robots" content="INDEX, FOLLOW" >
<meta name="revisit-after" content="7 days" >

<meta name="reply-to" content="info@mt-digital.com" >
<meta name="document-rights" content="Copyrighted Work" >
<meta name="document-type" content="Public" >
<meta name="document-rating" content="General" >
<meta name="document-distribution" content="Global">
<meta name="cache-control" content="no-cache" >
<meta name="Abstract" content="MT-Digital, MT Digital, home theatre, home theater, personal computer, HTPC, media, centre, center, media, movie, movies, dvd, dvds, picture, pictures, photo, photos, film, films, music, songs, avi, mpeg, mpg, xvid, 3ivx, divx, mpeg1, mpeg 1, mpeg2, mpeg 2, mpg3, mpg4, wma, shoutcast, asx, TV, television, video, videos, PC, computer, database, remote control, wireless, wire less">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="EN">
<meta NAME="Identifier-URL" content="http://www.mt-digital.com">
<meta NAME="Identifier" content="http://www.mt-digital.com">

I am glad to hear that. GREAT!

But I forgot something above:
Add comments in your content using relevant keywords.
Do something like:

Content Content Content Content Content Content
Content Content Content Content Content Content...

After all: You better apply now at Google for an API Key here https://www.google.com/accounts/NewA....com/createkey and then create a free new account to keep track of your search engine placement/keywords over time. http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ke...e&lang=english

Then sit back, relax, and be patience for about 3-4 Months, to see the positions you deserved.

You can be sure, you would not get such SEO for the price you got it. LOL!!! Ask around and compare...

Last suggestion. If you are willing to add at least one link on your page, try this Co-op Advertising Network and then just sit back and watch: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ad-network/?s=10508

Well I think I'm done with meta tags..

As for my keywords.
Less is more right? Quality words + trial & error is the only way to find out I guess.

By the way, what do I do about swedish / foreign characters. Do I write them in 'html' or just add them as they are or try to avoid them?

Write then in HTML. No need to avoid them, if you would consider defining the foreign words with a translation to the language of the web site with for example a <dfn> tag.

By the way you still have erroreous code.

Line 13: The "table" tag must have an end tag but the end tag was not found.

Line 112: The end tag for "table" (opened in line 13) should appear before the end tag for "body" (nesting error).

Line 110: The "br" element cannot be used here. It is contained in a "table" tag that cannot contain it. This element may be contained in "body", "caption", "td", and "th". This element may not be contained in "table".

By the way I hope you registered for the Digital Point keyword ranking tool. It will be interesting to watch how you are doing, until now and in the future.

Sure you will! I am so sorry that I have forgotten to mention this.

Check this free tool, which will show you the results of your query from both Wordtracker and Overture for determining which phrases are searched most often: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/

I just visited your web site and I found 3 important issues which still must be fixed.

Line 1: You are missing on the first line of your document a doctype.

So add this on all pages: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

Line 2: Edit on all pages: <html lang="en"> instead of </html>

Lines 11 and 59: <table> lacks "summary" attribute.

I like your website, it is very appealing. I would also like to comment on Webnauts comments and the way that they seemed to have helped you, as well as me. I read all the comments and they really made me think about a couple things regarding my site.

I hate to piggy back your post, but I would like to ask Webnauts for a review of my keywords and meta tags.

Thank you if you can help out another web amature.

Nice simple design but I feel more text, a price list, more infor on the about page. Maybe its me but its very thin on the content and thats whay helps get the site picked up

Burf is right. It actually took me some time to realize that the buttons were working, and I was going to different pages.

As far as the pricing, you don't want to do a bunch of samples, then tell people that they will be charged X-dollars, then have them say no.
