Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate.

Here is my site: http://www.illinoisrealestate.com/

Certainly not too bad for a 1st effort.

I would advise the following:

1. Center the page
2. Dont use so many different font sizes, font types and colours.
3. Your center block of text need some padding or css positioning.
4. The disclaimer is far too long, why not hide on its own page somewhere.
5. You have a lot of links opertaing on this home page, why not let people drill down to get the info they need. Also may of your links are double ups.
6. You may want to consider using some drop down menus.

Hope this gives you a couple of things to think about.

Your post is very much appreciated.

1. Center the page (can someone please advise me how to do this?)
2. Dont use so many different font sizes, font types and colours. (Updated)
3. Your center block of text need some padding or css positioning. (Updated)
4. The disclaimer is far too long, why not hide on its own page somewhere. (Updated)
5. You have a lot of links opertaing on this home page, why not let people drill down to get the info they need. Also may of your links are double ups. (most double ups gone, some links deleted)
6. You may want to consider using some drop down menus. (will have to think more about)

I hope to here more from others.

Thanks,

-=D

For a real estate site, the design and layout is graphically uninteresting - the ad graphics need to be cleaner and less prominent and small things like the thick border around the Featured Listings give the site a "dated" feel. Real estate is a very saturated market online so your site needs to be stellar.

Some of your external links open in a new window and some do not - make each external link consistent so as not to confuse, and risk losing, visitors from your own site.

Use CSS for font and color formatting. You also have some serious code errors to fix. Here's an example:

<font color="#0000FF"><span id="clock"><font color="#FFFF00"><font color="#FFFF00"><font color="#000000"><font color="#0000FF"><span><font color="#FFFF00"><font color="#000000" size="-2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><a href="Real-Estate-Directory/recommended-real-estate-resources.html">Illinois
Real Estate Business Directory</a> | <a href="Real-Estate-Directory/illinois-real-estate-joindirectory.html">Add
Your Listing</a></font></font></span></font><font size="-1"></font></font></font></font></span></font></div></th>

What the...?

Your META tags are pretty thin, especially your description tag.

re code errors: lol... how tha! lol... ok I've fixed that much so far.

What do you mean by my Meta tags are pretty thin? Please explain.

Will work on graphics, css, external links. Featured listing doesn't bother me that much, but will consider options.

Hmm, what to do to graphically to spruce it up?

Thanks for your input, it helps a lot.

Some bigger HQ pictures of some of the houses would be nice and too much white for me (IMHO). More readible font would be nice - Like the one we use on this forum.

If you have time please review a friends site for me.
