Hi Everybody

I have a Jokes website (www.somejokes.com), I tried to maintain it as a popup and activex free, jokes website. This site has Total Pageviews: 1298891 till date and the traffic has grown exponentially for me this month. It's getting 2000 uniques a day, and I am not yet properly monetizing the traffic.

What would you recommend doing with this traffic ? The traffic is mainly from the main search engines with good "2 phrase" keywords.

Any help would be appreciated.

I recently tried to put my efforts with some contextual advertising from targetfirst and some popups from interclick, NO ACTIVEX. Let me know what you all recommend.

should have read the warning, but didnt see it in time, d'oh. Ah well. As soon as the pop up opened i closed the pop up and proceeded to close the window containing your web page. If i did that then so will many other users. Very few people click on such adverts anyway, this is because very few quality companies advertise in such an intrusive way.
As for the site design, i only saw it briefly before my view was obstructed by a pop up. But looks to me like you could do with a banner across the top of the page with your site logo and then have horizontal navigation below that.

Remove the pop ups then let us know and maybe people will be willing to give you a more thorough site review. I do understand that you are simply experimenting with ways to make revenue from your free resource site but pop-ups in my opinion is not the way to go as they alienate your users and your users are your income ultimately, whatever method you use to make money.
