I think that /> has been added for xhtml standards. So he's right to put it there. I think the design is really good. Great use of images and an easy to use navigation bar. Nice bright colours and an excellent idea to include the weather.

One thing I did notice is that the frame going round the edge looks fine in Internet Explorer but cuts across the bottom middle section when viewed in Firefox.

Great design! It's very funky & hip lol

My only criticism is that the main body of text could do with being seperated up into clear paragraphs of about three lines each, there's too much there for it to be read easily ;-)
