Ya-hey, Neighbor!
Looks like you've got lots of fun stuff to do at your resort year-round. Moose! I love it!! We've got wolves, bear, fishers and lynx, but all I ever see are incredibly stupid deer! :D
Anyway, you wanted a site review, so here goes.
I really like the images you've got for the site, especially the scenic pics. They create a wonderfully rustic and homey feeling. That's a great thing for a resort to have. It gets folks involved before they even sign up for anything. I think you've got every want and need covered for all sorts of visitors, too!
There are a few problems I see, though. First, you've got an awful lot of information on that very first page, to the extent of creating a bit of information overload. I've got a DSL connection, so it wasn't a bad for me, but I suspect visitors using dialup would be very unhappy. And let's face it - lots of folks in this area still use dialup service. You need to try to divide that information into smaller segments.
Toward that end, it would probably help if you had a main navigation bar with pulldown menus at the top of each page. It would give visitors a chance to find where they want to go more quickly than using the long menu you've got down the left side of the page. A main navigation bar would also provide an opportunity to use your logo at the top of every page as well, so visitors would remember what site they're surfing.
Which brings me to other uniformity issues. Your color scheme is almost consistent throughout the site. There's a green that you use on most pages which is rather nice. But sometimes your background is white, sometimes dark green, sometimes pale green.... A more consistent use of color would probably help your visitors to feel more comfortable and less disconnected.
There's also a small problem with your gif images. They've all got a white jagged edge, making them seem disconnected from the rest of the page. It makes them stand out, but not in a good way. It might help to have them redone, using a background color that matches your site's main soft green.
Whatever you decide to do with your website, I strongly urge you to create a Contact/Reservations page for the form at the bottom of your index page as well as the Reservation/Contact information. Create a link to it on every page. There's currently no way to get to that form except on the main page, and there aren't any links back to your main page on any page I visited.
The same is true of Directions to your resort. This needs to be a main link on every page. Also true of your Search function. Visitors are basically lazy. They don't want to work hard to find what they're looking for. If they have to try too hard, they leave.
HTH!
