Aloha all!

Just wanted some honest opinions on my companies e-commerce website. I designed it back in 1996 and its gone through about 5 redesigns and this is the latest. All feedback is greatly appreciated. Also, I am thinking about finally using some type of ASP since it is only a static site. (Yes, call me crazy since we have over 4,000 products listed.) Again, thanks and take care!

Default Wow!

Great site, the only thing I can recommend is putting commas or semi colons in your keywords metatag to make not grab it as a long phrase.

Looks like you're borrowing cues from Amazon.com, almost shamelessly. But it's okay. This layout has been proven to work with your target audience. Your execution is okay, although I strongly recommend you switch to something more dynamic that'll be easier to update in the future. Asp, php, cgi...whatever. Parse an external stylesheet, reference a SQL database and you're set.

Aloha and thanks for your comments. I always wondered about the meta-tags, some say to not use commas and others say there needed. I will go thru them and add them. Also, I think I am going overboard with some, and need to cull them anyways. Thanks and take care!

Aloha and thanks for your comments! To be honest, I had this design/layout long before amazon had. The site has been online since 1996 as an informational website. In 1998 we went e-commerce and the overal layout of the site hasn't changed other than doing some header updates and making it look alot cleaner. Our company is primarily a wholesale distributor with our only retail outlet being online. So comapanies like amazon, barnesandnoble, etc... are our customers. And YES! I need to make this site dynamic, but just don't know which direction to go into. What would be some recommendations to do this since I would have to build a database from scratch since our database system for our warehouse isn't something I want to touch at the moment, since it is going through a major transition. Again, thanks and take care!

Default Another question: About Traffic

I have another question about traffic and was wondering if this is good, bad or average. Our site gets about 5,000 unique visitors daily now and 1:100 is a customer. We have spent zero dollars on marketing the website and am thinking about starting to invest in some online marketing. Any suggestions? Buying keyords on search engines? etc.... Thanks!
