Hi donfinney. I think you have a good start on your site. It could use a little more organization I think but other than that I think you're doing good. Even though you are entering a very competitive arena I, along with many other people here I'm sure, encourage you to keep working hard. Everyone has a right to their own business regardless of how much competition is out there. Good job and best of luck to you!

Hi

Your off to a great start. I would work on your logo and get rid of the counter at the bottom of the home page.

You also need to work on your meta tags. Use your best key words in your title.

I love the fact that you have text on your home page.

There is competition every where. When we started our web site I was told by many people that there was already to many design companies.

I have never been one of those people that sit on the coach scared to try. We started our business and have been making a good living with it every since.

Keep working on your site, reading and learning if you keep working at it you can make it work.

Default Nice

I checked out your site and found it quite nice. A couple of problems...
I would make the font a bit smaller.
Also, in your metatags, you have two titles. I know what you did. You used a meta tag creator and when you inserted your code in the html, you forgot to take out the first title that is called home page.
Take that out and make your font smaller and good luck.
Great start.

You have nice merchandise. I would like to see larger enlargements of the pictures. Under "return policy" you state that there may be a restocking fee. This may scare off potential customers. You might want to state under what conditions this would apply, and how much it would be.
Good luck !

Thanks for the feedback. I think your right. Not sure how to handle bigger enlargements as we tried to accomodate all screen types.

Default Nice site but yes it needs tweeking

Just something about the fonts used?
The menue selection IMHO should be at the bottom of each page--as a visitor cursers down the page to view product they don't have to go bavck up the page to go to next menue
Something about that pinkish-purple lettering bothers me??
Need mor text content with keyworks within the content--I understand search engines use this to determine ranking?
Don't get discouraged at least you tried to DIY instead of paying out $$$ for a site.

Default You're off to a great start!

The website is very pleasing to my eye. What I think needs a little work is the layout. The text links at the top should be at the bottom also. Maybe you should have links (buttons) added to the left side as well.

You should not use all CAPS. CAPS in the Internet world is defined as shouting. As I ventured through your site, I noticed different font and font sizes. All fonts should basically be the same.

Your contacts page displays your mission. Maybe the mission statement should be on your home page or even be a page of it's own and possible include your privacy statements there.

I would also consider pages or setup of the pages.
1. Home
2. Your products pages (knives, gen merchandise, watches, etc.)
3. Resources and Links combined on same page
4. Contact and Return policy same page

I know I typed quite a bit here. Keep up the great work and good luck!
