Hi k.margari....

I am very impressed! The site is Awesome! It has a Top of the Line feel to the site, very classy! I do have a couple of suggestions
1. When you click on the virtual assistant you have a very 'cheesy' .gif picture on there (get rid of that, it dumbs down a beautiful site!)

2. Use keyphrases instead of individual keywords, cut the number down on the main page to 5-7 keyphrases and bold atleast 3 of your keyphrases in your main text... That should help with the SE's somewhat ;) hope that helps
Cheers, and beautiful site!

Default David, Thank you very much for your time

I will seriously take your advices into consideration. I have visited your personal web site and it seems very usefull and comprehensive for web professionals and for non web professionals like me.. :-) I am trying to get better in knowledge by visiting web pages like yours. Just to let you know terms like SEO or PPC are not well known in my country, meaning that you could pioneer here in Greece.
What we tryed to do in our web site is to emphasize the importance of a Virtual Concierge for a hotel web site so people can know in advance where they are travelling to and more over to give them motives to navigate more.
Nevertheless, i believe we have much work to do since the Web Site operates only for 19 months and our top priority is to have the best posible ranking in Search Engines.
Thanks again for your time and i wish you the best. Keep up the good work!!

Hello!

It's a lovely site. I have one concern:

It's not clear to me how to book the hotel!

It should be easy for the reader to get to a page that lets him or her review and book a hotel, and the reader should be able to do this from the home page.

Best of luck!

Janet

Default Hello Janet444

Thank you very much for your usefull tip.
Apart from the 'reservations' tool it would be a good idea to provide a booking form in the home page, as this could boost direct sales.
I will seriously take this into considetration.
Thanks again for your help. I don't know whether a booking form in the home page can have a negative impact on Search Engine Spiders though.. Can anyone help with this?

I don't think you need to have the booking form accessible from the home page. But I do think you should make it clear how to get to that page from the home page.

People will probably want to check out your web site before booking a hotel. But I had a hard time figuring out how to book a hotel, and you do want people to know how to do that without difficulty or frustration.

I do hope this is helpful.

Default Is there anything wrong with the home page?

Could anyone please give me a wise opinion about my home page? www.dianahotels.gr
There is "bit" of a flash in my home page and i know that this is not good for Search Engines. I think that it would be worst to have the hole home page full of flash. Does this "little" flash affect negatively the Search Engines? thank you all!

Your home page tells me and search engines very little.

ME:
other than the .gr TLD, I have no idea where these hotels are. I was surprised to click 'Climate' and see Zakynthos. Then I couldn't get back as there is no home button (just a inked logo - not very intuitive). Then I had to watch all that Flash again. The turtle seems unwell and swims in a rather odd way, then seem to get his head stuck in the right hand frame before finally leaving us.

SEs
see only this on your homepage:
Quote:
(from page title:)Diana Group - Hotels in Zakynthos- Holidays in Zante, Greece
(from text:)privilege club | climate | virtual concierge | company profile | travel professionals | news - offers | guest book | contact us | careers Diana Hotel | Diana Palace Hotel | Filoxenia Hotel A Travel Media Applications project

I would seriosly consider dropping that home/spash page and having the whole site look like all teh other pages...

Default i love it!

This site looks great.

I love the turtles - both the one on the home page, and the little cartoon virtual concierge.

The only thing, is that I agree that it should be made more obvious how to navigate to the individual hotels. I see that you can do it by clicking on the individual logos, but you might want to add a link as well near Privilege Club, Climate, Virtual Concierge that says 'Hotels'

The 'Big Deal at Diana', 'Big Deal at Diana Palace', etc. links are too small, they can be very easily missed, especially since they don't appear until the turtle swims away.

Cheers,
Andrew
