Default review www.abitofparis.com please anyone?

Review my website please!
I love this wpw! It is great! You people are wonderful, I am sending many hugs to all!
I built this website myself - you may be able to tell? But, I started it almost 5 years ago and I just recently started getting less and less orders from my website. I think I lost place in the search engines. I am working hard on fixing it.
Anyway, any advise, suggestions etc... would be great! And I will do the same if anyone wants to hear my 2 cents even though they are not trained words. I am by far a critic - no school for computer tech or anything. I did however work for COMPAQ in the call center area. But nothing for webdesign. So if you want me to give any of my opinions, I don't mind. Because I sure need help here!
Thank you in advance for all your effort! This wpw is wonderful!

First add meta tags to all of your pages not just the main page...
I would consider taking the registered trademark logo out of your meta tags as well.

Lose the pink background. I tried this once. Does not work is what I found out.

Your text looks like it was cut from newspapers.

You might lose both of these tags.

<meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 5.0">
<meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document">

No need for them any more.

Default thank you - both of you thanks!

I will fix the font, where can I find fonts that are attractive but fonts that every computer has?

As far as the background, what is wrong with the pink? Just curious? Thanks for all the input! I need major help! And you people are so helpful!

About the meta tags. Can I use the same that are on the first page? Thank you so much for pointing that out to me. I never knew!

Hi,
Your site is nice and easy to navigate. The white cut-out text on pick was a little hard to read but other than that I think is a nice site

Sorry, I sent my poor review before I read basic review guidelines, so here's some additional comments.
Your site loaded quickly. As to the colors I think the pink backround is okay, but the white cut-out text is hard to read on it. I liked your homepage layout and it navigates well. Hope this helps you.

I was told by some professional people that it looked to tuitty fruitty

Now if just one person told me this I would not have mentioned this but when you are told by 10 people you ask will you review. I went with loseing it and now have a much better site since doing that.

I am not saying that pink can not be used but think for what you have it might look better without that.

Default thank you again!

Marcia and webhost - thank you! I welcome any and all feedback for my site www.abitofparis.com.
I do however like the pink, and if it is easy enough for people to load then I wish to leave it. I do want my site to look tuitty fruity - it is part of the feel my things have.
I have made many changes to the site. Does anyone see any isues that are not appealing as far as the feel I am presenting?
Thank you so much!
This webpro place is great!!!!

Hi,
When I tried to load your site to look at your changes I received the following error:
No information was found for domain[abitofparis.com.

I use Mozilla Firefox browser. Just thought you would like to know. Maybe you could check out my site
http://www.diabeticfootsolutions.com and tell me what you think. I have already posted it for review and it's very close to your post on the page.
Thanks,
Marcia

Default Lookin better ;)

Hi again bit o paris :)

Just looked at the site again and it looks like you've put in all of the suggestions to the meta tags except for one....® is still in your keywords! Here's something to think about, 85% of all of your traffic should be comming from generic SE results. Meaning that someone gets on their pc and types in Shabby Chic and your website pops up...in the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) If you've written a convincing enough description then they will click thru to your site. Only problem is this. NO ONE will ever search with symbols and that's attached to your keywords you have to get rid of the ® in your keywords and put a space between the last letter of Unique and the ® so instead of Unique® it would be Unique ® (this way the SE's won't take that symbol into consideration) Keep it up it's lookin good ;)

My website is working, it is at www.abitofparis.com
I will look at yours now.
I like the softness of your website. I read some of the info and it is very easy to read. (I was hoping to find out why my feet hurt when I sleep though - it was not there). ha ha
But your website is easy to use and very easy to read. I hope it reaches many people. I know someone will find it very helpful.

Ok Ne0~ I did it. I put a space in there! I hope you are finally happy. Now the next order I get I will ask them if it helped and if so, I will share the profit with you.
On a more serious note, thank you for looking out for me. I just need to pay my bills here. I am not looking to have such a high ordering that I become a millionaire or something, just the bills would be good.
So, I am working on the backlinks. People aren't so happy to reciprocate. I have found a few, and I am sending out nice, genuine letters and not a mass qty at one emailing. And I am sincere when I tell them I want to exchange. So, I geuss that is part of the hard and dirty work. I only got on page 3 of Yahoo search. I didn't get on at least 3 of search pages on any others when I ran that keyword verification. I would at least like to hit Google and MSN search.
On a more personal note, where in the world do you live? I thought it was CA but now I look at the city and it is unfamiliar??
Have a good weekend. Chat with you again sometime. Keep me posted on my do's and don'ts!!!!

Just noticed, you have to many different fonts on the site. This makes it hard to read. Maybe 2 at the most is what I have been told.

Also underlining a whole paragraph does not look that good. Underlineing usually means a link is under it.

Default webhost - fonts?

thank you for pointing that out to me. I thought I have tried sticking to just a couple fonts. I will try to check on that.
Where did I underline a whole paragraph - oh my! I will check it too!
Thank you so much!
Any other pointers are welcome! Rip it apart, tear it up one and over the other - I don't care! Because I never ralized how much I was doing wrong until I found this website. Now it is forcing me to really learn. I kind of like it! Watch out Bill Gates, Jen is catching on! (yea right!)

Default FireFox

As the Firefox userbase continues to grow, your nav is going to get harder and harder for people to read. Download it here and take a look. It's really hard to read as is.

Default FireFox is...

FireFox is a different web browser other than Internet Explorer. Our website has about 20% of the viewers using FireFox currently. If your viewership is similar, almost 20% of your visitors are going to have problems reading your navigation.

As for why people use it - it has may different extensions available (SEOpen is a great one written by a mod from WPW), doesn't have as many problems with spyware, has updates coming out regularly to address security issues (IE hasn't had anything major in a while, but still has lots of security issues), and has "Tabs", so you only open one browser and can have many web pages open and can easily flip through them.

Once you get used to FireFox, you'll probably never use IE again except for testing. Nobody at my office wants to.

Brian.

Default foxfire

I checked the browsers that view my pages and there haven't been any.
But, in case I get someone who uses it, what should I do to my website to allow users of foxfire see my site clearly? Thanks for all the info.
(strange I don't have any foxfire users!?)

Now your bottom area does not line up with the top area. Looks weird. I am talking about where the white line ends on the right.

Online catalog is not there.

Check out your garden decor page. Does not look right. Your pic is small than the window you have for it.

sew shabby you might want to fix. Have to scroll in that window. Others have not so far.

Lose the http on your links page next to some of those site. Does not look good.
