I get some type of text when I go to your site and than it changes to what you have now.

Site Map does not look like a site map page. You just put the menu of what the other pages look liked.

The site looks very nice and is easy to use. There were a couple of items that stuck out though.

The font in the flash section is a sans serif and the the font for the footer info in serif. It does stand out as a distraction.

The clip art rose is a tad cheesy compared to the beautiful photos. Maybe a rose photo instead?

This site is new? so its not a surprise to have no PR, but you might consider adding non-flash text to give the search engines something to index.

This might seem a bit odd, but, it wasn't until I scrolled down to the navigation bar at the foot of the page, (and read the title of the page in my browser), that I realised it was a photographer's website, and NOT the photo album belonging to Mary Ann.

It is a bit confusing :)

I agree with Paul on first impression - there needs to be more clarity on what this site is about (MaryAnn is a photographer, this is not just a personal photo album).

The images on the home page are not very interesting in regard to placement and format. I'd recommend finding a more unique way of placing the photos (angle a few?) plus give each a white border that looks like a photograph... It just needs more interest.

Testimonail s/b Testimonial on the "Letters" page.

Default Wow!

Hey Mark....
Long time no see. (hope your not still mad about the hot coffee)
I have to disagree with Marcie and Paul. It is quite clear what the site is about. And JM there is non-flash text for the search engines... The only thing I would suggest Mark is to cut back on the keywords... The "official" number is always changing but I have read in several places that more than 20 keywords is considered (keyword stuffing) and may hurt in a spider/robots opinion of your site. The only other suggestion I have is to use your 3 keywords for each page in your title. Other than that you kick*ss man! keep up the great designs ;)

Oakley dokely - here's why I don't think that it's clear what Mark's site is about....

Take a look at Steve De Pino's Connecticut photographer's website, and take a look at Christopher Devlin Brown's Connecticut photographer's website. What is the BIG difference between it and Mark's website?...

They both clearly state they are photographer's in the first few lines of their content. They both, (and Mark's website does as well), have the word photographer in their main page title - but then Mark confuses the issue by having the phrase - Photo Expressions by MaryAnn after it.

In my opinion, it just needs a bit of clarity

send2paul,

I'm suprised you chose to compare it to Christopher Devlin Brown's. Did you find Devlin Photography with a search engine or on my site because it is also one of my designs.

NeO~1,

Never a problem on the hot coffee. I was glad to upgrade to a wireless keyboard.

Mark - I just did a seach for "Connecticut photographer" just to see what other photographer's in your state/neck of the woods were doing with thier websites.
