Hi everyone.

I just finished my site today. Or I think!

Could you give me some feedback. It's fairly
simple, but it's supposed to be.

http://www.free-ad-forums.com

Much appreciated.

The splash page looks good, but I think it is a big mistake to make all your text on the index page as graphics - the more so without alt attributes for them. This page is blind to Google.

Also the button "Register Now" will put off many people as they will not want to give away their details without knowing more. And, in fact, clicking the button does not take visitors to a regitration page, but the forums, which can be browsed without registration.

39 forums to start off with is very, if not over, ambitous. Good idea to promise something free for signing up - though what these items actually are is vague - a fuller description would be more likely to get a response...

Just a couple of things I noticed:

1. "Resgister Now" - spelled incorrectly

2. The image (http://www.free-ad-forums.com/forums...mycatright.gif) does not quite line up with the rest of the banners ("Announcements" "General Discussion" etc). I'm viewing your page using internet explorer with a resolution of 1280x1024.

Not extremely horrible, but a lot of *thumbs-downs* from my end, some of which have been mentioned already.

Aside from the site being blind from Google, I absolutely cannot stand big text blocks in images. If for some silly reason I wanted to copy/paste it for any reason I can't. That and its not editable at all without having to crack open Photoshop to change it.

The front page has a really weird business/advertisement/stock art vibe to it that gives me creepy crawlies, but I guess given the subject matter its appropriate.

Also, all those forums is really unnecessary with 3 registrants. I'd hide them until more people join up.

Other then all that, I like the skinning on the board and I love the color scheme. Blue rocks...

You misspelled register on the home page. What is the purpose of the rest of the site? It is unclear.

I like the website, nice idea. There is another couple of mistakes on the scrolling part on the top-right:

"Free Ad Forums is unique in that it not only offers you you an opportunity to advertise your products/services and receive free gifts, but you"

I was also able to download the freebies without signing up. Shouldn't you only make them available to those that have signed up?

I have signed up now too =)
