| Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate. |

Hey guys! It's been several months since I submitted my site for review... and it's changed a lot. I'd really appreciate any constructive criticism at all!
Actually, our little company has two websites... We make and sell a specialty educational toy to schools and after-school childcare programs, but we're also happy to sell directly to families and smaller daycare centers. In the school market we either sell through distributors and, when we do sell direct the web isn't our preferred way to handle large purchase orders, credit terms, etc. However, we've had some success using a "Yahoo store" to support smaller customers/orders. Lately I've been putting a lot of effort into making http://store.yahoo.com/storyboardtoys/ look more like http://www.storyboardtoys.com/, and to improving both websites in terms of SEO and sales. I'd really appreciate any suggestions for the next few steps - especially ideas to increase traffic and improve conversion. Thanks in advance! |

You have a common in the address in the second address. You get page not there when you click on it.
Might get rid of the white space at the bottom of the page. Not all of the menus are the same. Site map looks bunched up. Privacy Policy This page does not come up. |

Hey webhost1 - thanks for great comments!
That pesky comma! I can't seem to edit the original post, so here's a version of the link without it: http://www.storyboardtoys.com/ Per your suggestion, I've revised the site-map with more line breaks. I also put section headers in boldface for clarity. I can't seem to make "privacy policy" malfunction... can you remember where it failed? The website has gotten so big and rambling - with about 200 pages! - I guess I should learn some java, make pull-down menus, and standardize buttons/layout for every page. Lately I've been doing the opposite: trying to restrict user paths with "hubs" and "spokes" (and all navigation in html). |
