Hi Everyone

Unfortunately my technical knowledge is limited to buying Dreamweaver for Dummies at Christmas and trying to learn on my own (very slowly).

I have many ideas for new sites but before I really try get going on these new ideas I wanted you to look at what I've produced so far to see if there are any obvious glaring mistakes (so I can learn the basics).

I'd be happy for any general comments but in particular comments with regard to behind the scenes stuff like the source code with regard to not putting off Google or Yahoo in some way. I've tried to optimise it as best I know how.

The other specific point is that the site was recently cached by Google and although I placed a link from the home page to http://www.cheapdvdsandgames.co.uk/page4.html which is my page which takes people to buy my book via Clickbank, it is not mentioned as a page linked to the home page. I'm eager for this page to be found because quite a lot of affiliates link to this page however Alexa says only 1 other site links to my site (I'm presuming my page rank will increase once this is realised).

Also there are redundant old pages listed back from the days when a friend built the site in frames which I later read was a no-no! Will these ever disappear? i.e. will Google realise they no longer exist?

If I'm not explaining myself properly I'll be glad to clarify and thanks for anyone taking time to try help.

Do not center everything. You will be surprised on what it would look like if you don't center it.

Get rid of all bold. Hard on the eyes.

Find a different color besides red text.

You don't have any alt tags for your logo.

You can use <HR> where you have the dotted lines. Something like (HR width="10%">

They say don't use your email address in the code. Spammers have a way of picking that up.

Might consider have your logo go to your home page besides the go home text.
