Hello,
We recently launched a new program novaPDF and I was wondering if anyone could give any feedback (suggestions, problems observed etc.) on the site, http://www.novapdf.com or on the product itself.

I really like the clean design of your site. Nice looking graphics. Easy to navigate around and quick to load. Gives it a very professional feel.

The site appears to be optimised for 1024 x 768 resolution which is a bit non-user friendly for those still using 800 x 600. But then again if anyone is still using that resolution the main section of the site fits nicely and just the side bar is off the screen.

Only things that I can think of that may help is to:

Make a print option on each page. A lot of users do not like to read text on a web page and would prefer to print it out and go away and read it.

The other is the link for the 'get feature matrix' it would be best if this opened in a new window so that the site visitor does not get sent away from your main site.

Thank you MuNKy for your feedback. I corrected that mistake with the Get Feature Matrix pdf file, now it opens in a new window.

Regarding the print feature, a "Tools" box will be added in the future having an option to print the page too.

Also, the site actually is optimized both for 800x600 and 1024x768, only that in 1024x768 resolution, the boxes on the right side are not viewable unless you scroll right.

I must go to the site map to find company info and your telephone number.

Since you are an ecommerce site, I cannot link to you.

Makes me sceptical that it is so difficult to find company information on an ecommerce site.

The design and use of colors are good.

Thank you kgun for the reply. Information about the company (with telephone number too) is available directly by going to the About page, the last section of the top menu.

I don't know how we could make this more visible, except maybe changing the name from About to About Us.

Maybe you should consider putting the telephone number, address and e-mail onto the same page under 'contact us'. Or maybe even on both of the pages. I know if i'm looking for a telephone number on a site, i'll look on the contact/ contact us page.

that I did not see it on the about us menu. I fully agree with MuNKy. You should have it on both places, perhaps even at the bottom of the page.

The more precise information you have about your company, the better.

1. Organization number and where it can be
checked in you country.

2. Address, telephone number(s), online chat etc.

My own site is not good on this either, but the reason is that I do not want a lot of telephones now and a lot of emails. And my site is not an ecommerce site, but a digital Ad / info magazine / portal.

You have an ecommerce site and want to sell your product(s)?

I will link to you or join your affiliate program, but it may take some time before you find the link.

The sign up process for your affiliate program could be better. When I submit the form, the same form pops up, with no error message.

Natural to be taken to your login page, possibly after email verification.

I hope you succeed with your business.

1. Gave away, SWIFT and IBAN number. Also

2. The sign up prosess was completed and I signed
in. Found the company novaPDF.

They should send an email, to clear what happened. Here are their reply:

"Hello,

We are very sorry for any confusion or inconvenience that was caused to you by this email that has been sent to you by mistake.
This email was sent by mistake and we will appreciate if you will ignore it as it was meant to send to a customer of other company that we did not locate his order on our system.

We will be more then happy to assist you in the future with any question you might have.

Then got an email from Softland:

I approved your request to sign up as an affiliate for novaPDF Printer Lite.
If you wish to sign up for the Standard and Pro contracts you will have to
send me separate request for them. I can only authorize requests from the
Plimus Interface, I cannot create them.

Conclusion.

One advantage with Plimus:
They accept payment by wire. Difficult to cash foreign checks in Norway. Most of the other providers pay by checque. I have two uncashed cheques from other providers. We live in 2005.

1. I sign up with Plimus, and will look for
other merchants.

2. I sign up as an affiliate with Softland.

First of all thank you for the suggestion of adding mailing address/phone on the Contact us page - this has been corrected (http://www.novapdf.com/contact-us.php).

About the ordering/affiliate process, these are handled completely by Plimus, our eCommerce provider. I see that you managed to subscribe as an affiliate so I don't think there are problems about this. Anyway, if you have further problems with this contact marketing at novapdf.com and I will try to solve it.

Well http://www.novapdf.com was launched about 35 days ago; we got indexed by google in less than 3 days (we linked from another website) which is understandable, but now we have a PR of 5 :))).
Of course I'm not complaining, but it just seems unbeleivable; now I just wish we get out of the sandbox too ...

I'd swap the 4 key features (Universal Printing...) with your top copy (to the right of generate-pdf.gif).

OR

Incorporate feature links into the copy.
