Not a bad website. The graphics version of the site is hard on the eyes, with yellow as the background. If it was a bit more muted, it might work better.

Just my $0.02

If you look at my code you will see that I have white as my background. I did notice, though, that with a certain browser (i don't remember which one) once, the background was a horrible yellow. The site was designed in IE, but tested in numerous browsers. Anyone have a clue on this one?

Separate the graphic and text. It does not look quit right having the text go on top of the graphic.

Default On my laptop in FF

On my laptop in FireFox, the homepage text is really washed out. Grey just didn't seem high contrast enough over white.

The yellow background is due to an error in your code.
Code:
<body bgcolor=#ffffff">
should be
Code:
<body bgcolor="#ffffff">
Just adding a " at the beginning will fix it.

I'm really wondering about duplicate content between the text / graphic version. Since the text itself is the same, this may be seen as duplicate content. I think it's possible to make it change the same page via CSS to your 2 versions, but I can't say for sure since I don't really know CSS.

Other than that, it looks like a very accessible site.

Brian.

brian.mark,

Thanks for the heads up on the small coding error. I was thinking it was something like that, but couldn't pinpoint it.

As far as the two seperate versions go, I know much, if not most, of the content is duplicated. Nevertheles it is necessary to provide a fully accessible version to those using screen readers, those who have low vision, and the like.

It is hard to see if you have links on your site or not. They seem to blind in.

Your grahpics and text do not blind in. It is kind of herky jerky, at least on my screen.

Why do you have news info in with your about us page? Makes the page longer than it should be.

webhost1,

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "blind in" or "herky jerky." In any event, I am satisfied w/ the link effect.

The "news info" is not part of the "about us" section. As you can see, each section is seperated by graphics. The news section is on the main page b/c I want to keep it fresh - even if that means a longer page.

Thanks for the comments.

blind=obscure

herky jerky=not smooth

In your about section it appears that you also have news in it. This is the info right after you explain about you. Assistive Tech/Disability News
