Submit Your Site For Review Need a fresh set of eyeballs to take a look at your site? Have a specific issue or question about some aspect of your layout, design or interface? This is the forum for you. When submitting your site, be sure to discuss what aspect you are looking for input on. Just posting a link with the word 'review' isn't appropriate.

I am not looking for a whole of site review (but any comments are appreciated)

I have just created a new article posting section on my website called "Write Ups" allowing webmasters post articles and keyword rich links to their own web sites.

Can you please take a look at the form and advise whether...
  • its purpose is clear.
  • it is easy to understand what to enter and how to enter it.
  • The little help icons work (it should open a short description for each item).
  • Is there any other information that you recommend I could add to the page to assist webmasters.
  • Any bugs or errors or unexpected results
  • Any other features you would consider important to add
If you follow the form to its conclusion please post the name of the news item so that I can take it down again (If you want me to that is)

to go to the introductory page click here - Write Ups

You might have the url http:// in the form so one does not have to add it.

Everything seems to be working ok.

Write up is too short please submit a longer article. The article must be between 500 and 2500 characters.
I had a hard time in adding more content. It usually ended up saying I had to many repeat words. You might give some examples in what you want the write ups to look like.

Thanks

adding http:// is a good idea I will do that thank you

The idea is to place an article. Information about the topic on which you wish to speak. That is why I made it at least 500 characters.

For example in yours you used part of an article already on your site. I added a link at the bottom so people could read more... from your site. although technically I would prefer it if the article was unique. but a lead in article like yours is acceptable.

The reason I placed the "repeated words" error was to prevent people trying to use the article software to create spam.

I see. Makes sense to limit spamers.

Trying to write something that is 500 characters is a chore. Did not realize how few words one can write. Makes one really think.

I am going to have to get back on your site and try this once again just to see if I can do it. I will do it once I have more time to think things through.

Thanks for the info. Will let you know if I find any more things. Nice job.

the anti spammer piece of the add site is to strict.

It seems if a word is used more than twice it is rejected. This makes it very hard to write 500 word description with out using the same word several times.

Example: I used the word "it" 3 times in above..

Thanks for the advice

I have now added stopwords and ignored them

so words like "a" "it" "the" "then" etc... will not trigger the spam filter

It was a really bad oversight by me not to do that in the first place

I appreciate the assistance.
