I am not a fan of black backgrounds. However your site does match with what you want to say.

How does one get back to the main site? I had to hit the back key all of the time. You might want to have the code target=new or target=_blank used for the links you have. Opens up a 2nd window for users so that they don't get lost.

I see you have no meta tags. Is there a reason not?

What meta tags do you mean? (Keep in mind I am an amateur). I have a few in the <head> section. What more should I include?

Default site review

Since I already had my browser's pictures turned off for another site review on accessibility I decided to take a peek at yours - wow what a first impression!

All I see is a totally white back ground, yellow text with a wide black stripe across the middle of the page. 9 images, three alt tag identified.

With the Browser's font and stylesheeting formatting removed, the site looks a bit better but there are invisible areas. Your Page name (logo) is oblivious to view.

OK< Browser Pictures and all back on now.

The idea behind the rocket smoke crossing the T's in scientist is a good one but so far it looks like Scienlisl - maybe if the smoke were black...or thicker...or the font more stylized...this logo just begs to be animated if only for a one-time fly-by to cross those t's!

Any volunteer artists out there????

It's a good start for a page but needs work. The blue color of the banner seems out of place just sitting there in the middle of a black page. If anything it should stretch over the width of the page.

You need to add css font styles to the links and tighten up the page.

You also should move the "info abut this site" to the front page instead of just handing the visitor a bunch of links so they can go elsewhere...

That's it!

It's just a page of links to other sites presented in about most nasty visual form possible.

I'm not really inclined to say "I'm sorry" when reviewing it either. Try and think up something original yourself...

Thanks, snowflakegirl.

I don't know what you mean by this statement.

(i) What styles do you suggest adding to the links, and why are they "needed"?
(ii) What do mean tighten up the page? Do you mean using a smaller font and making the page appear physically smaller?

Tighten up the page: remove excess space, align columns, left justify links to make them appear neater.

Apply style: Everything just looks so scattered about indiscriminately.

Check these sites, they will give you good web design advice.

Well, I recently gave the page a makeover. Went away from tables and used CSS.

Also, changed the title graphic, removed the Flash comet that used to flash across the screen, and added an RSS newsfeed.

Hopefully, it looks better than it used to. It is still basically just a page of links to other sites; however, I hope it serves the purpose of being a first stop page for people interested in the aerospace field, as well as linking to some sites that provide some concrete utility.

Your additional comments would be appreciated.
