Default Free Web Templates

I know I'm supposed to put my domain as the subject, but I am not exactly after a site review.

Well, I am, but not in the usual way.

I have just added my first three downloads for free web templates and I just want to know, if anyone has some time and likes to play around with HTML, if anyone would like to download one and try to make a website?

I'm interested in what people will say about the templates. I think they're pretty good, and the way I have created them makes for an easy to maintain website, but then again, I made it, so of course that's what I'd think.

Maybe others will not think the same?

I didn't know where else to put this request, so I've places it here.

Again, only if you have a moment, I'd appreciate your comments.

The templates look pretty good but pretty much all the same. You might try at least changing the color scheme and offer them in red, green instead of all blue. How are you trying to advertise your site?

They are a bit too plain. People nowadys want more colour and more graphic manipulation on their templates.

Along with agreeing with the first two replies I would like to add that they are also way to similar to your own site design. Its like you just took your site and changed the colors, which isn't something that is going to get people to download the templates. You need to have them vary a bit in design instead of having 3 identical ones.

Ok, fair enough comments..

I am going to make some new skins for the template. I'll come back and show you when I am done. I guess I just wanted to hurry up and get the downloads up, so I didn't spent much time varying the three templates I have up so far :)

Re: Looking like my site. Yes, part of the reason I made this template was so that I could use it myself. However, because the template is made to be skinnable, I will create some personal skins for my own sites which will not be available for download.

I am using two of the templates at:

http://www.mrlen.com
http://www.melbalia.com

..but soon enough, I will create my own templates. All I will have to do to convert the skin for each of my sites is upload the new template files and change a line in the config file.

Thanks for your comments :)

P.S. Did you take the tour? Do you like how the template can be manipulated? I made it like this so that it doesn't HAVE to look the same.
