Please offer detailed critiques. Functionality, content, organization, graphics, appeal, etc...
Also, did we miss your favorite TV show of all time?

We are told the Kurant ordering system requires all these pages to complete an order. Has anyone managed to use Kurant with fewer pages for the order completion process? If so, please share your pages.

Thanks in advance for your detailed constructive criticisms.

Best Wishes,
Lawrence Kramer

This is going to be long..

Nice work so far. I think it needs to be packaged better. It's rather dull in looks and function.

Once you click on anything. Sufers need to be able to get back HOME quick. Link the logo at top to the Home Page File. Not the URL.

Consider a "members club" send the members news letters with releases and updates plus specials.

The META Keywords is not set to sell. Those need to be BUY TARGETS. Like.. "buy dvd online" "buy old movies" .. etc, you will get the idea.

In the title. Break up the site name. Those are great search engine words but not all together. Make it Dvd Tv Shows : Great TV Shows on DVD at Rock Bottom Prices at DvDTvShows.com

I also think that your going to loose buyers because there is no theme to the site. It's like a store walls. Everthing is divided in 3. Left menu, center text and right photos.

That's just too boring .. sorry. Take a look at this. It's a template that fits your site. Something to give it that store look and feel that it's missing. Sample Kit

Overall I think your site has a great stock of product. Now it just needs to be packaged better.

Your customers are buying things that entertain them. So, keep in mind they liked to be entertained.

I looked one more time and found HOME. It does not belong in the middle. Place it on the top left. Also link that top logo the same.

That menu on the left is killing me. It's centered and it looks to generic. Needs style there badly.

I will look again later..

I hope I was not too harsh on ya!

2 cents

Your home page is extremely overwhelming in regard to text content, plus your body text is bold so it seems too strong, almost like yelling.

I agree with Snerdy - the leftside menu is also hard to read since the text is centered instead of left justified.

There's something about the site that makes it feel very outdated. It could be the embossed header or the simple way you've formatted the DVD covers. It needs an infusion of graphical interest and contemporary colors. (I like the template Snerdy referenced, it would be fun for your business theme.)

Good luck!

Default www.dvdTVshows.com changes based on critiques to date

Thank you for your comments.
I moved the Home link to the far left as you suggested.
I also reduced the text size on most of the larger text blocks. The text is all relative size so that's a little tricky.

The balance between much less content on the main page with a more open, feel; versus providing enough information so people feel comfortable ordering, is something I am struggling with.

Any more suggestions anyone?
