Default Hacker Problems!!

I need someone to check out my site

http://www.starsforsoulmates.com

Apparently, some underaged wanna-be keeps cracking my hosted server and changing things...not to mention pinging connection out. This "wanna-be" wont give up, and I'm getting tired of fixing this site repeatedly because of it. I hope the little punk serves prison time...

Would someone please tell me if the fonts look big and bold on my site please!

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "big and bold", but I think the site fonts look fine.

As for your hacker problem, do you have the ability to use htaccess files on your website? If so, and if you know the IP address of the hacker, you can block them from your site completely.

Also (not knowing how they're getting in), try changing your passwords to a combination of upper and lower case letters, include a number or 3, and make sure you're not using any word that can be found in the dictionary.

That should all help to keep you hacker-free.

Default hi syrensong

what I meant by big and bold was, does the text look like it's all in [b] tags? or of a large font throughout the site? Another way to put it in an example would be, does the text appear as if it was created for a seriously blind person lol

Because that's what I'm seeing everytime I download the page.

Thanks

Your fonts look like they're designed by a person with "normal" vision. Not like you're shouting all over the place or anything. LOL!

Try bringing up and entirely different page (like this one), then go into your browser's preferences and clear your cache. Then go back to your page and view it again. It should look "normal" again.

hi again,
I tried that and no prevailing...
I contacted the server admin and was told that they were in the process of tracing the little punks -:D- IP address because the attacks are repeat and non-stop.

What browser are you currently using?
I viewed my site in both Netscape and IE...the thing that is frustrating me is I cleared out the cache for IE and no changes...the text is big and strong on the page.

The I view it in Netscape and everything looks normal - which is a relief lol- but what's going on?

Was my IE browser hijacked? or what? The server admin doesnt know how to answer that question either...

Thanks For All Your Help

I'm using Mozilla, but I took a look at your index page in IE6. Everything looked the same font-wise.

Try one more thing - go to a different page from your site, clear your cache, then close your browser. When you re-open it, try looking at your page again. Maybe that'll help.... I've never heard of a browser being "hijacked", but I'm not into heavy-duty hacking-type programming, and don't use IE all that much, sooooo.....

The biggest problem with tracing by IP is if the kids are on a dialup connection. That's a lot tougher to trace.

Best of luck to you!

problem fixed wheeeeeeewh! lmao

Apparently after much searching and digging, it comes to that of my font registry had been rewritten on my IE browser...Gotta love the age of technology and wanna-be hackers lmao

So, with that problem out of the way, we are still in the process of tracing the malicious users IP addy.

Thanks SyrenSong for all your help!
