You've got some beautiful jewelry on your site. If I'm right, the images I'm looking at are all/mostly(?) drawings and not the actual pieces, is that correct? In some cases, I'm certain they're drawings and in others I'm not so sure. Personally, if I'm spending that kind of money, I want to see a photo of the real thing, not just a pretty drawing. Some of the drawings are incredibly realistic, but it just isn't the same. It would also be nice if you had at least one photo on your index page. Your logo is nice, but a picture conveys an awful lot when you're thinking about spending money on jewelry. I also think the yellow in the side menu on your index page is just a little too pale. And there's really no need for that menu, since you've got the dropdown menu at the top. You're not using that yellow menu on the other pages, so why introduce it the one time, then eliminate it? You've got a typo in your bottom navigation links "eduction" ("education"), and another typo in your dropdown menu from Rings -> "Enagement/Anniversary" ("Engagement/Anniversary"). You've got some beautiful items for sale. I think having at least one or two on your index page would be a real bonus for drawing your visitors further into your site! HTH!

Hello,
It seems that you have already taken some of the suggestions from SyrenSong, and the site looks good. Things are easily read and pictures are easy enough to see with a good view of the merchandise. Only suggestion I would make would be a reformat of the tables you are using to show your merchandise. As it is layed out now, things are not even or alligned. You can accomplish that somewhat by standardizing all of your photos to the SAME size in height. As long as you center the images in the tables, the width shouldn't matter. But it will accomplish pulling all the text in line from merchandise table box to table box. If you are not already doing so, I'd add table rows for the text and any buttons you are using in association with each piece of merchandise. By giving each of those elements their own table row ( picture, purchase buttons, and text ) it should pull everything into line. It would dress up the site and aid with the way the eyes flows through subject content. You also might want to use some kind of header on each page so that the visitor knows where they are at within your site. I hope this helps. Best Wishes Care to review my site? Follow this thread then please :o) Thanks in advance. |

Hello SyrenSong and trogar - Seasons Greatings
First let me say thanks for your time to review the site. SyrenSong - just wanted to say that ALL photos on the site are real, not fakes, but alot of work went in to cleaning up the images. There is a plan to have random images up by the logo (like www.emedals.ca) to force people to see the inventory. As for the side menu, it was what the customer wanted, so I must follow through, still a work in progress, but was wanting to know if the use of colors and navigation felt comfortable. Thanks again, Roy |

The colors look fine to me, but like I said, I think the pale yellow in the index page menu is a little pale. It doesn't look bad, it's just not quite what I would have chosen.
As for the PayPal shopping cart checkout on MommyMojo, I used a DreamWeaver Extension I downloaded free from MacroMedia's website. It doesn't look like you're using DreamWeaver though. Either way, you've got to register with PayPal before you can set up anything in the way of a shopping cart, "Buy Now", etc. That's very easy to do, as long as you've got a credit card number or a bank account number, so you should be covered there. I know PayPal has a manual that's pretty good and fairly self-explantory. It should help you get things set up without too much hassle. If you DO run into problems, the folks at PayPal are very helpful on the phone or via email. They gave me some pointers on a little bit of customization for the USS Biddle's online store. I'd be happy to answer any specific questions if I can. But since you'll be doing things manually, I don't want to make any promises I can't keep. Ask away, and I'll let you know whether I can help you out or not. Otherwise, PayPal's customer support is really your best option for getting you out of hot water. ;) HTH!
