This is not a bad start. You may want to place a page at the beginning of each topic area that tells a little about the ads available like your coverage areas and so on. Then on this page have a drop down list for selecting an area. I live in Louisiana and I would not want to see autos for Oregon or some other far away location. Drop down menus are easy and provide a good way to navigate a site I have a couple of examples on one of my sites. If you go to my main page and then click on webexamples on the right hand menu it takes you to my old sites there is even an example of how to use them.

Lets start at the top and work our way down shall we?
You have to be consistent with navigation and feel! You will lose potential clients if this jumps around a lot. Having all those large images across the top of the page does not do anymore than having only one smaller image. All it does is eat up bandwidth, making your page slower, and taking up valuable space. Also you do not have any images of autos and since this is your first button, I am lead to think they are an important component of your business. The big yellow block with your URL reapeated in very large letters eats up a lot of real estate as well. As a thought, get rid of one of the titles there. I do not usnderstand why some people need to restate their URL in shuch bold terms. If your design is strong they should know where they are at and why they are there already. You could also merge this block with the pictures above (using less of the pics, pick one). That way you gain more screen space for what is really important and improve your download speed. A little jump down the page here... I would recommend that you get rid of the swinging "for sale" sign. By the time they get to it they should already know that this site is about selling things and it just slows things down and adds clutter to the site. While we are here unless you have to have the kanoodle search box for free hosting, get rid of it. You are not trying to be a portal page and do not want to give your visitors an excuse to leave or to distract them. If you must have it, put it on the very bottom of the page almost out of site. Layout thought... I would move the site search box to the right side of the page and put the featured ad under it. To do this you will need to shrink the size of your buttons and the featured image. what I am saying is to try and work with three columns here so your visitors get to see more stuff without having to scroll for an eternity. Speaking about buttons... do these really work for you? They have no tie-in with the rest of the site "design." they are "kind" of cool but these tend to scream amature. On your site I would recommend that you use some very simple solid colored rectangles with text on them and a roll over effect if you are feeling adventerous; or you could simple put a table there with five rows, background color and space between cells of a very thin border to seperte the buttons. You could also consider running your navigation horizontally to gain more space to work with. For a model just look at what webpro does right here on this site. Be shameless and copy them! Finally, this is hanging on the bottom of the front page <td width="100%" you either need to delete it or close it with a ">". I will stop here. There is more to say about the other sections so let me know if you want more from me or tell to just shut up! Finally keep going! You are out here and learning and I encourage you with all my heart to keep trying and learning.
