This site is to the most part dynamically created out of a database. The menu links on the right side are are all created dynamically and linked to products in the database. News, Spareparts, and other techsupport items are all pulled from the database.
Please comment on: 1. How do you feel the flash loads on the index page? 2. I went to great effort to make the design look apealing even though everthing gets loaded from the database. Is it ok? 3. Did anybody notice the rollover effects in the flash page on the index page? Site: www.cbr-sme.com/new-site Thanks for the Feedback, Richard

The site looks good. The use of the banner is interesting, but isn't all that informative. CBR-SME may be "the undisputed market leader," for good reasons -- none of which are listed. Without putting the statement in context, the undisputed market leader claim seems like pure hyperbole.
Vendors often get marketing tunnel vision, not seeing the site from the customer point of view. One or two reasons why CBR equipment cleans 22% faster in each class, meaning you can buy a smaller, less costly machine. Or reduces cartridge damage, increasing sellable product (against competition). The site makes the mistake most brochures-moved-to-web make -- a failure to figure surfers visit sites (plural). A brochure usually arrives unaccompanied by competitor's offerings at the same time. Not true of the web, where a shopper may check out three or for sites, simply to understand the market. These customers don't immediately go directly to the vendor site, and no other, then purchase. The site is pretty good, but a fair distance from wherre it needs to be. |
