The site looks okay. Asking the question what is the site's purpose may spark better input. ...Promote tourism? ...Network building and joint ventures between Prescott City businesses? Questions such as these might suggest things like whether or not the site needs a tagline -- and what tagline might fit. Or that site structure is or is not right for a type of user.

Hi Ed & Mary,

You've done a good job, for being non-webdesigners. You may have gone a tad bit heavy with all the affiliate links - the calendar links at the bottom never did load and now show the missing graphic X's. They don't add anything useful or relevant anyway.

Overall, very nice - pare it down a bit, would be my main suggestion.

How about adding categories for Heath/Fitness, or Food? You've got restaurants but what about all the local establishments selling food such as grocery stores, speciality foods, where to buy fresh produce, etc. As a local directory, you'll do very well once you get the locals to know you are there.

It would be a great tie-in for realtors, so get the word out that anyone new moving to town needs to immediately get on our site to find the goods and services they'll be needing.

One other aspect that's not really necessary, unless you somehow can get participation is the forum. An empty forum never does a site good - if you could get folks to post, then it could be useful, but forums take an enormous effort that may be better focused elsewhere.

I think these speciality, i.e. regional directories are great, and I'd love to see more of them.

I think your site is nice.

I would center your header tags though, they seem to be aligning themselves to the right.
The text towards the bottom is kinda long. I also would agree about the forum.
Instead of a forum, why not have "rate it" tabs next to the link in question? that way your visitor's can automatically rate it without having to leave the area. Interactivity brings and hooks visitors 99.9% of the time :)

with that said, your site is very informative, organized and professional
